Fifty Shades of Raizada ~ Part 7

“Enlighten me then.”

Arnav looked at Khushi, her eyes wide, her lips parted. He took in her entire profile. He could tell her nipples were tight from the way that they were poking against his shirt, her hazel eyes stares deep into his. He wanted her so bad, he could feel his length throbbing with want. He moved forward, closing the gap between them and pressed his lips between hers.

His lips were hard and took her by surprise. Khushi gasped and Arnav took her state of surprise as an opportunity to dip his tongue in between her lips, to explore her mouth. Khushi pressed her body into Arnav and raised her hands up to his chest.

The moment she placed her hands on his chest, he took hold of her hands and pushed them off of himself. He then allowed his own hands to fumble under the shirt she was wearing to touch her stomach and her hardened nipples that were just begging for attention.

Arnav undid the buttons of the shirt and brushed them off of her shoulders and let his hands play with her exposed breasts. His hands moved further down onto either side of her hips and held her there. With difficulty, Khushi brought her hands forward and pulled Arnav’s too off of his body. He pinned her down against the bed and bit her lip lightly, making her squirm against himself.

They could both feel themselves become slightly light headed and they needed to come up for air. Arnav broke the kiss first and looked at Khushi’s exposed body in front of him. Her eyes fluttered open and she reached out for something to cover herself with. Arnav threw anything she could grab hold of across the room and he took in her body.

His thoughts had been right, her breasts were full and plump. Her nipples looked so painfully tight, he NEEDED to pinch and suck on those little buds. He wanted to take her full globes in his hands and squeeze them, leave his mark on them. Khushi raised her arms to try and cover herself but Arnav took hold of her wrists.

“No. Let me look at you.”

Khushi felt slightly uncomfortable. She was sat almost butt naked, allowing a super hot guy, whom she had just made out with, examine her.

“Arnav…”

His eyes wandered her body, down to her panties. How he wanted to rip them off of her, to lap up all her juices, lick her until she screamed out his name in ecstasy. He wanted to push his fingers into her tight channel… He wanted to thrust his length into her, hard and fast, he wanted to make her come over and over again, leave her so sore she couldn’t move for the rest of the weekend. He wanted so much.

His eyes lingered on her panties and Khushi subconsciously pushed her thighs together, trying to suppress the weird things she was feeling down there. Arnav smirked.

“Am I making you feel things down there?”

Khushi blushed a deep shade of red and bit her lip. Arnav moved forward once more and kissed her. This kiss was slow and tender, but ended almost as soon as it started.

He grabbed some sheets off the floor and passed them to Khushi and got off the bed.

*****

Arnav had ordered some clothes to be set up for Khushi and she had got dressed, ready to be dropped off at home.

“Arnav… Where does this put us now?”

“What do you mean?”

“Where do we stand?”

“I hope we’re standing where I want us to be, but I guess this is something we’ll need to talk about properly.”

Khushi nodded and got ready to leave the room. Arnav took hold of her elbow and pulled her back.

“Can I take you away this weekend?”

“Yes.”

Arnav had expected to need to persuade her more, but she was willing. Arnav nodded and led Khushi out of the room and they made their way down to the garage to his car.

Once in the car, they made their way across the city to Khushi’s home. They didn’t talk much, just enjoyed the others presence and relieved the heated moment that they had shared earlier on. Arnav looked over and couldn’t help but smile. This was it, soon enough he would introduce her to his world and she would become his…

*****

Arnav pulled up infront of Khushi and Lavanya’s apartment. He cut the engine and turned to look at Khushi. She herself was lost in thought and hadn’t even realised that they had arrived.

“Khushi…”

Khushi shook her head and looked around.

“Oh. I didn’t realise that we’d arrived.”

“I noticed, what are you thinking about?”

“Us.”

“What about us?”

“I don’t know.”

“Well you think about what you want us to talk about, and we can talk about it over the weekend.”

“Where are you even taking me?”

“To my penthouse. Just outside the city.”

“To meet your family?”

“What? No of course not.”

“So it’s just going to be us?”

“Yes.”

“And you’re taking me away so that we can spend time together?”

Arnav ran his fingers lightly through Khushi’s hair before resting his hand on her knee.

“I’ve been craving you for so long, maybe this weekend I’ll finally be able to get a taste.”

Khushi looked down at Arnav’s hand on her knee and bit her lip.

“How do you have a penthouse outside the city?”

“It was a block of apartments built for people who like luxury but like their privacy at the same time.”

“Yes, pretty much.”

Khushi nodded and started to pick her bag up off the floor.

“Would you like to come inside?”

“No, I have to get to work, but I’ll call you later.”

Khushi nodded and turned to leave the car when Arnav grabbed hold of her elbow and pulled her back to himself.

“Can’t leave without giving me a kiss.”

Before Khushi was able to react, he closed the gap between them. He placed her hand back on her thigh and pressed his lips against hers. Khushi linked her fingers into his hair, pulling him closer. He let his hand move up her thigh, and this caused a heat to grow within Khushi.

However, the kiss came to an end and Arnav removed his hand.

“I’ll call you later.”

Khushi said bye and then left the car. She got to the door of their apartment block and turned to see that he was still watching her intently. She gave him a little wave, which he didn’t respond to. Khushi took her key out and opened the door. As she stepped in and shut the door behind her, she heard Arnav drive off.

*****

“Agh! Khushi! What the hell!”

“Lavanya! NK? WHAT THE HELL.”

Lavanya grabbed the blanket that wasn’t on the end of the sofa and covered herself an NK, but Khushi had already been scarred with the image of her two closest friends pretzelled together, naked, with all bits out in the open.

“What are you doing back to soon?”

“This is soon? I was meant to have been back ages ago.”

“Well you went off with Arnav and when we realised that you hadn’t come back by breakfast time, we thought we’d have another round before you did get back.”

Lavanya grinned at NK and moved back into his to place a kiss on his lips. He grabbed hold of her hair and pulled him onto her.

Khushi covered her eyes and coughed loudly.

“Ahem! I’m still here you know!”

Khushi heard NK laugh and then blindly made her way over to her room. Once safely in her room, she uncovered her eyes and pulled her phone out.

Arnav had already texted, saying that he couldn’t wait for the weekend.

Khushi smiled and bit her lip. What the weekend held for her was still relatively unknown, but she knew that it was going to be intense. She was about to reply to him, telling him that she too couldn’t wait, when she heard a throaty moan from Lavanya followed by; “God you’re so big baby.”

Khushi threw her phone aside and covered her ears. She would need to attend therapy after what she had just witnessed between NK and La.

Discussion: IPKKND3

Hi guys, so I was just looking at old Arnav and Khushi videos to get some inspiration for a one shot I’m working on, when I came across numerous articles and links related to Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. Now I was ready to just ignore these links and then I realised that Barun was in the show and was going to be playing Advay Singh Raizada. I was then suddenly hopeful and thought maybe Sanaya would be back too, but she isn’t.

Now I have opened up the post just to ask you guys, how do we feel about this? IPKKND with our beloved Sobti but without Sanaya? Will you guys be watching the show? Or will you pass?

Personally I think I will watch it for the sake of Barun and also to maybe get some fresh story ideas,

How are you guys feeling about the new show? Are you liking the concept and the pairing? Leave your comments and thoughts below and we can all have a chat about IPKKND3!

Despite Khushi’s insistence that Arnav shouldn’t pick her up from the airport, he was still waiting at arrivals when her plan landed. He had a bunch of flowers and was holding up a card saying Khushi. The moment Khushi got out, he was able to see her. He waved and Khushi smiled as she walked over towards him.

“Hey! I thought I told you not to worry.”

“I know what you said, but I haven’t seen you in a while so I thought I may as well come and pick you up.”

“You didn’t need to, but thank you.”

Arnav hands Khushi the flowers.

“These are beautiful.”

“Do you want to grab some food before I drop you off home?”

“I’m okay, I ate on the plane.”

“You sure?”

“Yup.”

They walked across the airport, talking about Khushi’s flight and how she really needed to sleep when she got home.

They left the airport and Arnav led Khushi towards the car park where he had left his car. It didn’t take them long to find Arnav’s car and he walked over to Khushi’s side and opened the door for her. He then took Khushi’s baggage and put it into the back of the car. While Arnav was filling the trunk with her stuff, she turned and looked to the back seat where her and Arnav had made out.
She couldn’t help but smile. She knew it wasn’t meant to have happened, but she couldn’t deny that it felt good and it was enjoyable. He did something to her, made her feel and want things she hadn’t wanted before. Khushi shook her head and turned away as Arnav got into his seat.

“So how does it feel?”

“How does what feel?”

“Knowing that you live her full time now.”

“I feels surreal to be honest, but I haven’t moved here permanently just yet.”

“What do you mean?”

“There’s a conference in London next month, and I need to go. So I’ve brought most of my stuff over but I’ve still got stuff that needs to be brought, but I’ll bring it back with me next time.”

“You didn’t tell me about a conference? What’s it for?”

“Just a fashion industry conference.”

“Ohh.”

Khushi took her phone out and started scrolling through.

“The conference is on the 1st of July. I think I’m going to come back to India on the 4th.”

Arnav nodded as he carried on driving along.

The journey to Payal’s house was a long one. Khushi, Payal and her uncle and aunt had decided for this month before the conference she would live with them.

However, Khushi had insisted that when she came back she wanted to move into her own place. She had justified this choice by saying that she wanted to be close to the office and because she had lived alone for so long, she didn’t think she would be able to feel comfortable.

Garima and Shashi said they understood and said that they were fine with her decision.
Khushi had asked Arnav to help her find potential apartments for her to live in while her one was being decorated.

“Have you found anything?”

“I had selected a couple and I’ll forward all the details over to you, but I don’t know if you’ll like them much.”

“Honestly, for now, I just need something. I don’t want to impose on my uncle and aunt for too long.”

“My offer still stands you know. I have a 2 bedroom apartment, you could stay with me. I mean, I hardly stay there myself, I go home most of the time, so mostly you would have the place to yourself but…”

“I don’t think that would be appropriate Arnav.”

Arnav had had the idea that Khushi should stay in his apartment that’s near the office. For most of the year the apartment remained empty, other than the time when Arnav worked late into the night and didn’t want to have to travel over an hour to get home. He also used the apartment when he wanted to have some female company, but he found that as time went on, these occurrences took place less and less often.

The last time he had actually hooked up with anyone was long before Khushi had entered his life. And was adamant that the next time he had any such relations with another woman, the woman would be Khushi.

“But the offer stands any way. If you need a place, you can have my apartment.”

Khushi nodded, showing Arnav that she acknowledged what he was saying.

The drive felt even longer than usual because of all the traffic. They spoke about the potential places that Arnav had found and also talked about some business related ideas that he was having.

“Do you think you’ll be able to have the official merger party at the end of this week? Or do you think you need more time?”

“No, I think we’ve put it off long enough, I think it’s time the world knew that AR and Khushiyan are one.”

“I’ll email you over all the details when I get home.”

“We have to go to the party together, don’t we?”

“Khushi, if you’d rather we went separately we could, but as my business partner, I really would love it if you were my date for the night. I can’t really imagine anyone else I’d rather have beside me.”

Khushi blushed. She knew this didn’t actually mean anything, but the thought that he wanted her beside himself, did something to her.

“I would be honoured.”

Arnav turned to Khushi and smiled. He told her how he’d send her all the details about their party and said how they’d talk later if anything else needed to be sorted.

Soon enough they arrived at Payal’s house where she and her parents were waiting for Khushi. Payal rushed over to the car and hugged Khushi the moment she got out.

“Finally! I’ve been waiting for you all day. There’s so much I need to tell you about. How was your journey?”

Khushi broke the hug and laughed.

“Do you want the entire story before I get into the house or will you let me sit before I tell you everything?”

Payal laughed and went I over to Arnav and gave him a hand as he took out Khushi’s luggage. Shashi and Garima came down and gave Khushi a hug and asked her how her journey was. Garima led Khushi into the house and Shashi, Payal and Arnav brought her suitcases in.

“Khushi I’ll take my leave now.”

“Arre, Arnav beta, come and have some tea with us.”

“No thank you uncle, I need to get home and get some work done.”

“Thanks for picking me up.”

Arnav nodded and then took his leave.

*****

“KHUSHI KHUSHI KHUSHI KHUSHI KHUSHI! I need to tell you something.”

“What is it Jiji!?”

“You know yours and Arnav’s party on Saturday, you’ll never guess who asked me to be their date.”

“Who asked you?”

“Akash did!”

“Akash as in Akash Singh Raizada?”

“Of course! Who else!”

“I didn’t realise that you guys were still on it.”

Payal playfully hit Khushi.

“I really love him Khush. And the since that reunion party, we’ve spent so much time together. He seems serious about us, he’s always talking about marriage.”

“Have you told Maasi and Mausaji?”

“I haven’t told them yet, I don’t know how to.”

“Well I think if you and Akash are serious, then you need to have that conversation about how you’re going to tell the families.”

Payal nodded, and Khushi could tell she was deep in thought.

Khushi waited for Payal to come out of her thoughts, but then Khushi’s phone buzzed.

*So excited for the party on Saturday and I’m so glad we’ll be able to share the night together.*

Khushi couldn’t help but smile at Arnav’s cuteness. She knew she had feelings for him and she knew that he had feelings for her, but they needed to make sure they did what was right for their businesses. Khushi didn’t want to let anything come between her and Khushiyan. But she knew she wanted Arnav too… How could she made this work without ruining everything she’d ever worked for?

Author’s note:

How are you guys doing? Hope you’re doing well and enjoyed the update! I feel like I haven’t left a message like this for a while. Let me know what you think is going to happen next!

Also I would like to take this moment to say that, it means a lot to me that you guys enjoy my work and that you’d like updates a lot more frequently, but I must press that, for me, updating once every 2 weeks even is hard. See a lot of the last couple of chapters I have had written since around March but since about April, I haven’t had time to write at all. I’m trying to spread out my updates like how I am currently doing so that you guys have a regular pattern and do go months without updates.

I hope you understand why I can’t update more frequently. But regardless, I hope you have enjoyed this chapter and I can ensure you the fun is yet to come! Finally, I have a couple of one shots in the works so keep your eye out for them!

Fifty Shades of Raizada ~ Part 6

vI2Gra1

A few weeks had passed since Khushi had gone out with Arnav and he had told her that he wasn’t the man for her. She was distraught. She had actually grown really fond of him and she had wanted to see how things could have turned out for them. However, she realised it wasn’t going to happen so she tried to push all Arnav related thoughts away.

*****

“Are you ready Khushi?”

“Yup, hold on, I just need to get my boots on.”

Khushi and Lavanya were going out for the first time in ages. They had been so busy with all their uni work, they hadn’t had the time to go out with their friends. But now exams were done so they could party all they wanted.

Khushi decided that she was going to go for a simple outfit and so she pulled on a maxi dress. She then threw a cardigan on top and was ready to go.

*****

“La you know I hate bars.”

“I know, and I also know you don’t like to drink. But one drink won’t kill you.”

“You know how bad I am with alcohol.”

“Just have a glass of wine and you’ll be fine.”

They got into the bar and went over to their friends who were already half drunk. Their friend NK got up and asked what they would like to drink.

“La, what do you want?”

“Coke and Vodka.”

“Khushi?”

Khushi thought for a while and then decided that she was going to let loose tonight.

“Shots!”

“Khush…”

“I want shots!”

Lavanya shook her head at their friend, telling him not to listen to Khushi, but he went on ahead and got Khushi what she wanted.

Everyone raised their glasses and downed their drinks.

Khushi drank hers in one go and then pulled a face. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea, but she wasn’t about to back down now. She grabbed another shot and downed that too. She went to pick up a third, but Lavanya stopped her.

“Whoa there, slow down! I know we said we were coming to party and let loose, but really, Khushi slow down.”

Lavanya pushed the glasses away from Khushi who happily obliged. She could feel herself losing her senses slightly.

“You know what La. I’ve decided something.”

“What have you decided?”

“I’m going to tell ASR he can take his fancy pants books back. I don’t want them.”

“Call him when you’re sober.”

“I am sober.”

“Two shots for you is more than enough for you to make stupid decisions. Take my word and call him tomorrow.”
Khushi shook her head. She wanted to call him now. Who the hell did he think he was. Giving her such expensive gifts and then telling her they couldn’t be together. What kind of person does that. Khushi got to her feet.

“Where are you going?”

“To the toilet.”

“Don’t call him Khushi, I’m telling you, don’t. You’ll regret it.”

Khushi made her way down to the bathroom and pulled her phone out at the same time. She knew she was fine to call him. He wouldn’t even realise that she had had anything to drink. She went through her contacts and clicked on Arnav’s name. He answered the call before it could ring.

“Khushi?”

“You can come and take your fancy pants books back.”

“Excuse me.”

“You’re books. I don’t want them.”

“They’re a gift.”

“I don’t want them. Come and take them tomorrow, or else they’re going in the bin.”

“Khushi are you drunk?”

“No.”

“Don’t lie to me, I can hear you slurring your words.”

“I may have had a little bit to drink, but I’m not drunk.”

“Where are you?”

“That’s none of your business.”

“Khushi tell me now.”

Khushi hung up and fell highly smug about herself. That’d teach him. She wasn’t sure what she was teaching him, but all the same, she knew she taught him something.

Khushi came out of the bathroom and went over to La and NK who were making out furiously. Khushi reached them, but then walked away again, she didn’t want to intrude.

She looked around trying to decide what she should do, when suddenly, she started feeling really sick. She rushed outside and breathed in the air. She clutched her stomach, praying that she doesn’t throw up. Holding it in for as long as she could, Khushi soon found she couldn’t and rushed over to some bushes where she let everything that was within her out. She tried holding her hair back, so it couldn’t get in the way, but failed. However, someone had arrived and had taken hold of her hair.

Once, the contents of her guts had been spilled, Khushi became aware of the person who was stood behind her, holding her hair for her. She turned to come face to face with Arnav.

“What the hell are you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same.”

“I am here with my friends to enjoy myself, why are you here?”

“You were drunk and I thought you needed me.”

“I don’t need you. You can leave.”

“Khushi…”

“No. You don’t get to do this. You can’t reject me and then act like you care about me.”

“I do care about you though.”

Khushi shook her head, her eyes were pricking with tears but she wasn’t about to cry and she Arnav how much this had affected her.

Arnav put his hand on Khushi’s shoulder and she shrugged him away.

“Come on let’s get you some food.”

“I’ll have food, don’t worry.”

“Khushi, please.”

Khushi turned away, ready to head back to her friends. But somehow she had managed to turn to fast, and she lost her footing. Arnav took hold of Khushi before she could fall, and that was the last she could remember…

*****

Khushi woke up when the light seeped through the curtain and hit her face. She opened her eyes ever so slowly to find that her had was banging.

She slowly got up and sat in bed. It took her a moment to realise she was somewhere she shouldn’t be.

She looked around and took in the lavish hotel room.

What the hell?

She looked around and saw her dress slung over the foot of the bed and her shoes were sat on the other side of the room. Removing the covers, she realised she was wearing a mans shirt and just her panties.

What the hell?

Khushi rubbed her temple, her head felt as though it was about to split in half. Gradually, the memories of the night before came back to her, and the last thing she could remember was Arnav taking hold of her before she could fall.

Looking around, she spotted her purse sat on the bedside table and reached out for it. She took her phone out to realise that she didn’t have any calls or texts? Surely La would have realised that she hadn’t been around and that she hadn’t come home.

Khushi was about to call Lavanya when the door opened and Arnav walked in.

“You’re up.”

“What are you doing here?”

“This happens to be my apartment?”

“Then what am I doing here?”

“You passed out on me.”

“So why didn’t you take me home.”

“Lavanya was wasted herself and it looked like she was going to take your friend home with her. I didn’t think she’d be able to provide you with the help you need.”

“I’m not ill. I was just a bit tipsy. I would have been fine.”

Khushi shook her head. Arnav went over to the bed and pointed to a plate of toast and a glass on orange juice next to her.

“You should eat.”

She leaned back against the headboard and a thought hit her.

“Where did you sleep last night?”

Arnav smirked and pointed to the empty space next to her. He wasn’t lying, the sheets were all crinkled, an obvious indication that someone had sleep in that space.

“Did you get me changed?”

“Yes I did.”

“You didn’t need to.”

“Yes I did. You puked all over yourself and your clothes stank.”

Khushi blushed a deep shade of red.

“There’s no need to be shy. You have a gorgeous body.”

Khushi blushed an even deeper shade of red and became suddenly aware that she didn’t have a bra on underneath.

Arnav smirk and came over to Khushi. He leaned in and whispered in her ear.

“Don’t worry, I didn’t cop a feel. I’ll only ever touch you like that when you’re conscious.”

Khushi blushed but then snapped her head back towards him and pushed him away.

“You can’t talk to me like that, not after you rejected me.”

“I didn’t reject you.”

“Yes you did. You pushed me away and told me you weren’t the man for me.”

“I know what I said, but I said it because I was trying to protect you.”

“Protect me from what.”

“From me.”

Khushi looked at Arnav, trying to make sense of what he was trying to say.

“I don’t understand you.”

“I’m a complex character.”

“Enlighten me then.”

~ One Year Later ~

A year had passed since Arnav and Khushi had signed contracts and had joined their businesses together and in that time the partnership was going well.

They had mainly focused on bringing Khushi’s business over to India and hadn’t really focused much on moving AR to the UK, but this was Arnav’s choice. He thought they would be able to do better if they focused on one business at a time. Despite this, there was some shift and people in the UK were becoming more aware of Arnav’s brand.

Over the year, Arnav and Khushi had both travelled between India and the U.K. They had talked with each other, each other’s business heads and with lawyers to make sure that everything was running smoothly.

They had attended conferences and all kinds of different business related meetings.

Now Khushi was almost ready to come back to India for good. She had purchased herself an apartment in Delhi. Her aunt and uncle had insisted that she could live with them, however Khushi liked having her space and she thought it would just be more convenient if she lived on her own.

*****

“What time does your flight come in?”

“Half 6 in the morning.

“I’ll come and pick you up?”

“There isn’t any need for that Arnav. I’ll just get a taxi.”

“No I insist, I’ll come and pick you up. Taxis at that time are quite hard to come by at the moment, even at the airport.”

Khushi thought about it and then agreed.

“Alright, as long as it isn’t too much trouble for you.”

“It isn’t, don’t worry.”

“Well thanks. I guess I’ll see you then.”

“Yeah. Text me when you’re on the plane and stuff and before you take off.”

“Arnav…”

“Anyway, I have to go now. Take care.”

“You too.”

Khushi ended the call and looked at her phone. Over the course of the year, Arnav and Khushi had gotten a lot closer. They weren’t just business partners, but they had become good friends as well. Arnav was attentive of her and took good care of her when she was in India. He made sure that she was used to how things were run, and whenever they met any business associates, he made sure to introduce her.

A couple of months ago however, they had had a moment. Khushi was in India and Arnav had taken her out to dinner to discuss something about another business who wanted to work with them. The dinner had run smoothly and it was when they had got back to Arnav’s car that the moment had taken place…

**Flashback**

“So you don’t think that working with this company would be a good idea?”

“I think right now we should focus on our own brands before we start taking anyone else under our wing.”

“You really are a level headed business woman aren’t you.”

Khushi blushed and ate the last bit of her dessert. They were both done and spoke a bit before the bill arrived. Arnav paid for the meal, even though Khushi had insisted that he let her pay, or to at least let her pay for her own food. But Arnav was a gentleman and said that he got this.

He paid and then they left and made their way over to the car. Arnav got to Khushi’s door before she did and he held it open for her. Khushi thanked Arnav and she
attempted to get into the car. However, as Arnav’s car was slightly high, she lost her footing due to her high heels and fell backwards. Khushi tried to regain balance but failed. She expected to feel the hard pavement on her butt, but she landed in Arnav’s strong arms.

“Are you okay.”

Khushi pulled herself out of Arnav’s arms slowly and straightened her dress out. She nodded and blushed a deep shade of red.

Arnav moved back into Khushi and closed the distance between them. Khushi’s back rested against the back door of the car. He closed the distance between them, and raised a hand and pushed Khushi’s hair away from her face. His hand moved away from her face and hair and he placed it on the side of her neck, and moved closer to her. Khushi’s eyes fluttered shut and Arnav took this as a sign that she was feeling the pull that he was.

They were moments apart and Arnav closed that distance. His lips brushed against Khushi’s. Khushi parted her lips ever so slightly and Arnav went in properly. He planted his lips onto her and kissed her. The kiss was light, but then Khushi moved into Arnav. He could feel every single one of her curves against him, her breasts were straining in her tight little dress and he could feel them brush his chest.

Khushi wrapped her arms around Arnav’s neck and Arnav placed his hands on her waist. He pushed her back against the car so her back was resting on the car, and he pressed himself against her. Khushi could feel the bulge in Arnav’s pants against her. They kissed passionately, like two people who had never kissed anyone else ever before. Arnav slipped his tongue between Khushi’s lips and she took his tongue and caressed it with her own. His hands moved away from her waist and onto her pert round ass. He placed his hands on her behind and pulled her closer to himself still. His squeezed her butt cheeks making her gasp and pulling him further into her.

Arnav broke the kiss to come up for air. Their eyes fluttered open momentarily, but both were still hazy from the passionate kiss they had just shared. They were still drunk on their passion for one another.

Arnav pulled the door of the backseat of the car open and pretty much pushed Khushi in before tumbling in after her himself. Khushi lay back on the seat and pulled Arnav by the tie on top of herself. Their lips locked and Khushi wrapped her legs around his waist. Her dress was short so when she did this, her dress rose up, exposing her panties. Arnav’s hands moved round her back and he unzipped her dressed and pulled it off her shoulders. He pulled it down over her breasts, which were barely covered by a lazy red bra.

Breaking the kiss, Arnav looked at Khushi’s chest. Wow. He could see her tight little nipples stood up through the bra and he took one of the little buds into his mouth, all the while letting his hand wonder south to rest on top of her panties. Khushi threw her head back in pleasure and laced her fingers into Arnav’s hair.

He began to pull her panties away with one hand when his phone began to ring.

Both Arnav and Khushi’s eyes snapped open and they just stared at each other for a moment. Arnav began to pull himself away from Khushi and he looked away as she pulled her panties back up, fixed her dress and pulled it down to cover herself.

Arnav cleared his throat.

“I…”

“This shouldn’t have happened.”

Arnav turned his head to Khushi and looked at her with inquisitive eyes.

“This shouldn’t have happened Arnav.”

“But…”

“No. No buts, no nothing. We are business partners, we can’t be doing things like this.”

“We’re consenting adults.”

“We are, but we can’t be mixing business with pleasure.”

“But surely if this is what we want, we can find a way to make sure we can both have business but at the same time we can have pleasure as well.”

Khushi shook her head.

“This can’t happen again. God only knows where this was heading.”

Arnav nodded. He respected her decision. Arnav sorted himself out and once they were both ready, he opened the door and got out of the car. He stood outside and Khushi could see he had a hard on. This made her blush because she was the cause of that, but at the same time, she knew something like this was wrong. He was her business partner, they couldn’t be doing things like this for it could have an impact on how they worked with each other.

Khushi’s business was her life, her everything and she wasn’t going to let a man get in between her and her life.

Arnav stood outside the car and looked down at himself. He kept replaying what had happened between himself and Khushi and this caused him to stay hard. How was he meant to drive them all the way home when he had those thoughts, those images of her in his head.

He shook his head and got into the drivers seat.

Khushi made sure she looked decent and slid out of the car and got into the passenger seat beside him. Arnav started the engine and they were off.

For a while, neither of them spoke, but kept replaying what had happened between them.

It was after a while Arnav finally spoke.

“May I say something?”

“Of course.”

“Khushi, I know its inappropriate, but I’m deadly attracted to you. I have been since the start. Everything about you, your ambition. The way you work…”

“I’m not going to deny it and say I’m not attracted to you, because I am. But if we want to make this business partnership work… We have to remain professional.”

**Flashback ends**

Admittedly it was more than just a moment, but that was the only time such an occurrence took place. Since then, they had maintained a respectable distance and they grown to become friends.

Khushi picked her mug up and took a sip of her tea. Was she ready to be around Arnav all the time? Could she manage to keep a distance without falling weak to the deadly attraction that she knew they both had for each other?

Arnav slid into a parking spot and cut the engine. His hand was still resting on Khushi’s knee. Arnav looked over at Khushi and slowly moved his hand away.

“Ready to go?”

Khushi, bit her lip ever so slightly and then nodded. Arnav opened his door and got out of the car. Khushi took her seatbelt off as Arnav came over to her side and opened her door to help her out. He took her hand and helped her out of the car.
Khushi got out of the car and pulled her dress down and straightened her shrug.

Arnav offered his arm and Khushi took it as they entered the restaurant.

*****

Over two hours later, dinner was done and Khushi was finishing off her dessert. They had talked about all kinds of things from family to business to relationships.

“So do you have a boyfriend?”

“No, I don’t.”

“Oh, I see.”

Arnav asked for the bill and they both got ready to leave.

“I really enjoyed tonight.”

Khushi blushed a deep shade of red and looked down.

“I enjoyed tonight too.”

“Khushi… I…”

Khushi looked up and Arnav couldn’t proceed. He looked into her hazel eyes and he couldn’t bring himself to say anything else.

“Should we leave?”

Khushi felt slightly deflated. She was hoping he’d say something about maybe going out again or something, but he didn’t say anything.

Khushi nodded and grabbed her bag and they got up to leave and started making their way to the car.

They made small talk as they made their way through the car park and back towards Arnav’s car. Khushi was talking to Arnav about her course and how her assignments were going when a car came rushing out of nowhere. Khushi was oblivious to the car rushing towards her. Arnav noticed the car and noticed it was in directly line with Khushi. He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her away from the path of the car.

Khushi lost her footing and fell into Arnav’s arms. Arnav helped her straighten out, but didn’t let go of her. Arnav put his hand to Khushi’s cheek and brushed her hair out of her face. His eyes roamed over her face and Khushi slowly let her eyes shut, it was almost as though she was waiting for him to kiss her.

When Khushi realised that Arnav wasn’t going to kiss her she slowly started to open her eyes. She looked straight into Arnav’s eyes. He broke the eye contact and slowly started to let go of her.

“I’m not the man for you…”

“What do you…”

“I told you, I don’t do the dating thing. I can’t be the man you need.”

” I don’t…”

Arnav placed his hand on Khushi’s back and led her back to his car. He let her into the car and then went back round and got into the car himself. He put the key in the ignition and started the car, but he didn’t start moving.

“Khushi, are you okay?”

“I don’t get it?”

“What don’t you get?”

“Don’t you like me?”

“Of course I do.”

“Then…”

He cut the engine and turned to her.

“I can’t be the kind of man you need.”

“You keep saying that! But what the hell does that even mean?”

“I…”

“If you knew we couldn’t be together then why would you take me out and get all cosy with me and send me expensive gifts?”

Arnav turned away and ran his fingers through his hair. This had somehow gotten so much more complicated then he thought it could get. He knew he wanted her, he really wanted her, but he knew he couldn’t give her what she would want. A woman like Khushi would want proper commitment and she would want love… He couldn’t give her that.

“I do want you…”

“Then?”

“I don’t want to talk about this.”

Arnav shut the conversation down and put the car into gear and then drove off.
The drive back to Khushi’s was a quiet one. Arnav had tried to speak to her, but she didn’t respond to anything he had to say.

When they finally pulled up infront of Khushi’s apartment, she took her seatbelt off and started to get out of the car. However, Arnav grabbed hold of her arm.

“Am I going to see you again?”

“I don’t see the point.”

Khushi pulled herself free and got out. Arnav too got out of the car but it was obvious that she needed some space right now.

“I’m so sorry.”

“I am too.”

Arnav stood by his car and watched Khushi enter her home. She looked over her shoulder, but she just shook her head and went inside.

Arnav leaned against his car, head back and reflected on how the evening had played out. He’d panicked and he hadn’t handled things well. But at the end of the day, the fact remained that he knew he couldn’t be what Khushi needed.

*****

“Khush? Is that you?”

“Yeah it’s me.”

Lavanya came rushing out of her room, she was almost bouncing off of the walls.

“So how did it go? Tell me everything!”

Khushi burst into tears.

“Hey! What’s wrong?!”

“I… He… He rejected me.”

“What?”

Lavanya tried to calm Khushi down, who was mumbling on about the events of the evening. She couldn’t understand a word of what she was saying. La got Khushi to sit down, wiped her tears away and then made her start again.

“I didn’t even realise until today how much I actually wanted things to work between us. He was so caring and tentative and I couldn’t help but think about how things could go forward. But he simply said that he wasn’t the man for me and that it wouldn’t work out between us.”

Lavanya listened to everything Khushi had to say. She thought deeply about it.

“Khushi, I wouldn’t take it personally. Everyone knows Arnav doesn’t do the dating thing. He hasn’t been seen with a woman in public forever.”

“But people would have seen us together.”

“Yes, but I think that was about as far as it goes for him. Or may be it had gone too far with you because people had seen you guys together. I don’t know Khushi, but I don’t think you should be so hard on yourself or be so down about it. I know it sucks, but I think this is more about him than it is about you.”

“I just don’t understand…”

Lavanya hugged Khushi.

“You’re better off without, Khushi. You’re better off without him.”

Jalebi ~ Part 5

The lawyers had gotten together and they had spoken about the business proposals. All things were running smoothly, and Arnav and Khushi were moments away from having their first business partners.

“So if you both could just sign here and here…”

Arnav and Khushi took it in terms to sign all the paperwork.

“Congratulations, Mr Raizada and Miss Gupta, you both are now the successful owners of 2 businesses each.”

Arnav, Khushi and there lawyers celebrated with some champagne and they all discussed how both companies would now be able to reach new heights.

“I can’t wait to see what you can help me bring to AR, Khushi.”

“And I’m also curious to see what you can bring to Khushiyan.”

“I think we can make this partnership very successful.”

“I hope we can.”

The lawyers left and Arnav and Khushi continued to discuss what would be there next moves and how they were going to play things.

“Oh I almost forgot.”

Arnav opened the drawer of his desk and took out a box and handed it to Khushi.

“What is this?”

“Open it.”

Khushi opened the box and inside were a whole lot of jalebis.

“I thought you’d like them to celebrate with.”

“Thanks Arnav. I honestly haven’t had jalebis in the longest time ever!”

Khushi took one out of the box and popped a piece into her mouth.

“Mm this is so good! Would you like some?”

“I can’t, I’m diabetic.”

“You are? I didn’t know that!”

“Maybe you should have done some research on the man you were actually going into business with, not just his business.”

Khushi laughed at this and ate some more jalebi. Arnav looked at his watch and realised it was coming up to half 7.

“Should we start leaving? Our reservation at the restaurant is for half 8.”

“Yeah sure, let’s go.”

They both got out of their seats. Arnav held the door open for Khushi and she stepped out. They spoke about all the different things they could do now that their companies were joined and they made their way down to Arnav’s car. On the way down however, they bumped into Akash.

“Congratulations on your new business ventures! I’m so happy for the both of you.”

“Thanks Akash! Although this wouldn’t have happened unless you suggested it!”

“I only suggested what anyone else would have done. Bhai, are we going home now?”

“Didn’t I tell you, I’m taking Khushi out to dinner? We going to celebrate.”

“Oh no, you didn’t say.”

Akash raised his eyebrow at Arnav who dismissed the look.

“I’ll see you when I get home.”

Arnav placed his hand lightly on Khushi’s back and led her out of the building towards the car. Behind them, Akash was not impressed that Arnav was taking Khushi out. This wasn’t what he was expecting and it wasn’t something that needed to happen. They needed Khushi’s business, not her.

*****

“Here’s to new beginnings and hopefully a successful and fruitful future.”

Arnav and Khushi clinked their glasses over dinner. They both sipped their wine while they waited for their food to start arriving.

“This may sound like a dumb question, but what happens now?”

“Well I’m going back to England next week. I need to get back because I’ve been here way longer than I initially came for. I guess I’ll go over and start talking to my team over there about who wants to come over here with me to help me start up over here. And then I guess I would need to find someone who would be able to oversee things over there while I’m here.”

“So you’ve got a lot of stuff to do.”

“Loads!”

“How long do you think you’re going to be in the UK for?”

“I don’t know…”

“When do you plan on leaving.”

“There’s a flight out next Wednesday that I can get a ticket for.”

Arnav nodded and looked down at the starters that had been put down in front of them.
He had known Khushi would need to go back, but somehow he’d kind of forgotten about that and had assumed he’d have her around all the time now, especially now that they would be working together.

Khushi started tucking into her food while Arnav watched her in deep thought.

“Would you come back to India again soon?”

“I mean I would need to, but I would want to get the bulk of my work sorted first before I came back.”

“And once you had everything sorted, you’d live here permanently?”

“I feel I’d still go back to England because that is where my home is now and I have lots of friends there, but yes, I guess I wouldn’t spend most of the year here.”

Arnav nodded and went back to his food. What was happening to him? This was all meant to be a means to make ends meet, a way to help his business, but why was he starting to feel as though he didn’t want Khushi to go. Why did he want her here so much?

*****

“Dinner was lovely.”

“Yeah it was…”

“Will I see you again before you leave for England?”

“I don’t know.”

At this point, both felt slightly awkward and looked away. Arnav ran his hand through his hair and unlocked his car.

“Should we go?”

“Yeah…”

Once in the car, they spoke about all the things they could achieve now that their businesses were working together.

They reached Payal’s house and Arnav parked the car.

“I’ll speak to you soon.”

“Yeah, sure.”

There was another awkward silence as Khushi got out of the car.

“Thanks for dinner.”

“It was my pleasure.”

Khushi shut the car and Arnav watched her walk up to the house. Why was he feeling so awkward and so unsure. Khushi was his business partner, that was it.

He shook his head and drove away. She was leaving, and this was his time to get over these weird feelings he was having.

*****

“What was the need to take her to dinner bhai!?”

“She’s my business partner, it’s just common courtesy to celebrate with some dinner.”

“This is all way to meet our end goal. You don’t need to overdo it.”

“Akash… I don’t understand why you’re being like this.”

“You’re interested in her! It’s so obvious!”

“No I’m not!”

“Yes you are! I swear if you start developing feelings for her and give up on the plan…”

“I won’t!”

“You better not!”

Akash left Arnav’s room and ran his fingers through his hair. None of this was making sense to him. What did Akash want? Why was he acting in this manner? And what the hell was going on in his head regarding Khushi? Why was it that he suddenly didn’t want to be apart from her?

Fifty Shades of Raizada ~ Part 4

There was a knock at the door and Khushi threw a glance at Lavanya who nodded and then went to get the door. Khushi’s hands were knotted in her lap and she stood up as she heard La opening the door.

“Hi, I’m Lavanya.”

“Ah Miss Kashyap right? You were meant to interview me?”

“Yup that’s me. I’m really sorry I couldn’t make it that day. Please come in.”

Lavanya ushered Arnav inside and Khushi smiled from where she was standing. Arnav came over to Khushi and leaned in slightly as thought he wanted to kiss her cheek, but pulled away.

“Hey, you look amazing.”

“Thanks, you don’t look too bad yourself.”

“Should we get going?”

“Let me just grab my bag.”

Arnav nodded and Khushi headed back into her bedroom to go and get her bag. Arnav stood awkwardly, looking around their little living room.

“So… where are you taking her?”

Arnav looked up and regarded Lavanya. He replied to her question and then fell silent once more.

“Mr Raizada…”

“Please, call me Arnav.”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Sure.”

“Do you… Are you interested in Khushi?”

“I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t.”

“No I mean…”

“I know what you mean, and rest assured, I am genuinely interested in your friend.”

“Please, don’t do anything to hurt her.”

“I wouldn’t dare.”

Lavanya regarded Arnav the way he had done to her earlier. She felt slightly relieved that she was able to get her thoughts out there and that she had been reassured. She wanted to make sure that this whole situation was right for Khushi and that Arnav was the right person for Khushi. Before she could think further, Khushi came out of her room and was ready to go.

“Are we ready to go?”

Arnav nodded and he offered Khushi his arm. She took it happily and waved goodbye to Lavanya.

“Have fun you guys.”

“Thank La!”

“Was great to meet you Lavanya.”

“You too Arnav.”

Arnav and Khushi left the apartment and they made their way down to Arnav’s car. When Khushi saw the car, she gasped every so slightly.

“Your car is actually really pretty.”

“Thank you, I’m glad you like it.”

Khushi took in Arnav’s large white SUV. She couldn’t help but feel the car was probably bigger than her actual bedroom.

Arnav went round and opened the door for Khushi and helped her in. She struggled slightly, what with the car being so high and her wearing high heels. But Arnav helped her. He had one hand in her hand and other on her waist as he helped her into the car. Khushi blushed at the feel of his hand on her waist.

She got into the car, sat down comfortably and had a look around. The inside was spacious and she was right to think she could definitely sleep in the back. It was super roomy and he even had a black blanket back there. It was almost as though he knew she would think about sleeping back there. Arnav came round and got into the drivers seat.

“Are you comfortable?”

“More than comfortable.”

They both put their seat belts on and got ready for the off.

Khushi was wearing a mid length dress, however due to the fact that it was quite fitted, the bottom of the dress rose up slowly as she sat. Arnav looked at her next to him, and his eyes fell onto her creamy, exposed knees. He shook his head, looked away and put his car into gear and they were off. But the thought of her bare and exposed skin was making him think all kind of things. Who would have thought someone’s knee could cause such thoughts to form.

The drive was silent. Neither could think of anything to talk about.

“How far is the restaurant?”

“About an hours drive from here.”

Khushi looked at her watch, they’d already been driving for 15 minutes.

“It’s far, but I promise you, it’s worth it. The food is just amazing at this place.”

“Thanks again for the books.”

“You’re welcome, I’ve had them for so long and they’ve just been gathering dust. Meeting you, I realised that those books would be much better off in your possession.”

Khushi smiles and then turned to look out of the window. She watched as the scene changed around her. She looked at all the greenery and also at all the big houses and hotels in the distance.

Arnav looked at Khushi and took in her features. Her soft rosy cheeks, she slightly pouted lips, her long dark hair, her big almond shaped eyes… He took in her long neck, and her full breasts… How he wanted to be able to see them without them being all covered up. Arnav shook his head and looked away. He couldn’t think about her like that, she wasn’t that type of woman. He couldn’t have her the way he wanted her.

*****

Khushi turned away from the window and looked at Arnav. He looked as though he was having an internal battle with himself. His eyes were fixed on the road ahead, but from his features she could tell he was in deep though about something. She took in his hair, slightly tousled, but done in a way it didn’t actually look messy. His eyes had harsh lines around them, yet his eyes were the softest shade of brown. She took in the stubble on his face and couldn’t help but to think of how it would feel on her face. How would it feel to kiss him… Wait, where did that thought come from. Khushi shook her head and turned away. She couldn’t be thinking like that about him, there was no way… He wouldn’t be interested in someone like her, why would he. She didn’t have anything to offer a man like Arnav.

Arnav could have anyone he wanted, heck he probably had a whole line of women right now who’d kill to be with him right now. Yet, he was here with her?
This made Khushi think. Why was Arnav with her when he could’ve been with any woman in the world. He could be with someone who actually wanted to be with him, someone who would kill for the chance to be here with him.

However, before Khushi could think further, she was brought out of her thoughts because Arnav had placed his hand on her exposed knee.
She looked over at him and saw him smirking ever so slightly, and every thought that had been in her head suddenly flew out of the window.

Was it possible that he was actually interested in her?

Bring Me Death

Khushi opened her eyes after 5 long days and looked around. She tried to move her arm only to feel pain slash though her body. She closed her eyes again, trying to remember where the pain came from. Noises and voices filled her eyes and she closed her eyes, trying to push it all away. But once her eyes shut, the memories came flooding in…

“Khushi, open the door please.”

“Sure mum.”

I went over to the door and opened it, revealing my best friend, Lavanya.

“You took your time!”

“Sorry, couldn’t find anything to wear, so I just came in what I could find.” Lavanya was my best friend. It had been this way for years. We did everything together, from shopping to eating; we never did anything without each other.

We rushed into the living room and clicked on the television.

“There’s a party tonight. Want to go?” Asked Lavanya casually.

“Who’s is it and where is it?” I asked.

We didn’t usually go to parties. Lavanya was often invited, but I wasn’t. She always said that I could go with her, but parties just weren’t my scene so I never really used to go.

“Oh just a guy named Arnav…”

I died a little for a second and then reacted. “Arnav! How the hell?”

“Oh I don’t know. He just said that he wouldn’t mind you being there, seeing as you’ve had a crush on him for god knows how long.” Again her tone was so casual.

“He said that?” I asked eagerly.

“Khushi, he said that he hated your guts! Come on girl, yeah, he said he wanted you there! He also said how he was interested in getting to know you a bit better.”

I squealed out of happiness and hugged Lavanya. “You’re the best friend ever! I love you La…”

Her memory washed away and she opened her eyes. Khushi could feel tears welling up in her eyes and she tried to move again, but the pain stopped her once more. She closed her eyes again, hoping that sleep would take over her body, but the moment she did, another memory sucked her into its world.

“Hey, Khushi. Glad you could come.”

I look at him, he was gorgeous! Everything about him always stuck in my mind. He had short black hair, which fell over his eyes. His eyes… You could drown in them; they were caramel brown. And then there was his body. Toned and muscular, you could see the size of his arms through his white t-shirt.

“Thanks for having me here.”

“Why wouldn’t I have you here? I’ve heard that when you’re at a party, it always turns out to be really good.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah! And you look amazing by the way.” He smiles at me and I think I’m going to faint.

The memory faded away… Khushi snapped her eyes open. The music that was playing during the evening filled her ears. She could hear the last song, the last one that played, before everything went wrong…

I’m dancing with Arnav! That’s all I can actually think about. He was holding me close to his body. He looked into my eyes and I let him lead. He held me so close that his breath was brushing over my face, I could smell his cologne so well.

“I never knew you could dance so well.”

“I can’t!” I laughed while saying it. It was true, I honestly couldn’t dance.

“Clearly you can!” He smiled that oh so adorable smile and I felt myself melting. He looked at me and moved in to kiss me. There was a sudden bang and he jumped away. He looked around and noticed that one of the speakers had exploded. Rushing towards it, the other exploded seconds later, just missing him.

“What the hell’s happening?” He shouted. He moved the speakers out of the way and before anything else could happen the whole thing started to smoke, and within seconds a fire had started. All the wires started to burn and the fire spread from the tables, to the chairs and then onto the decorations.

“Get out everyone!” Arnav roared. I looked at him worried, and rushed to him. “Khushi get out of here!”

“What about you?” I asked.

“It’s my party, I have to make sure that everyone gets out safe!”

“But what if you get hurt?”

“I’ll be fine, just go!” I rushed out of the building, lots of people rushing out before me. I turn and see him still telling everyone to move. I look around, trying to see where Lavanya was, but I couldn’t find her. As I’m trying to make my way out, some barges into me and I fall, gaining a deep cut on my arm. I get up, and again someone pushes me into the wall. My body hurts, but I have to get out and call for help.

Once outside, I took my phone out and called for the emergency services. They took their time coming and while we were waiting for them, the building continued to burn. The flames were crackling and lit up the night. The fire engines arrived and they began squirting water on the building. The firemen went into the building. I continued to look for Lavanya and Arnav, but I couldn’t see them, were they still in the fire? My heart skipped a beat when the firemen came out. They bought out a few unconscious people and the ambulance took them away. The firemen went in again and I could feel my heart pounding against my rib cage. The process continued until at last I saw Lavanya in the arms of a fire fighter. She was unconscious and I rushed towards her but the police kept me back. Then they brought out Arnav, who too was unconscious. I looked at him, his face was burnt and his arm was oozing with blood.

Khushi tried to snap out of it, trying to make the memory stop, but it wouldn’t.

I was sitting outside A&E. Waiting for them to tell me that Lavanya and Arnav were fine. The nurses had taken Lavanya and Arnav’s addresses and house numbers from me, they contacted our families who came. They asked me questions over and over again and I couldn’t answer them. Then a doctor came out.

“I’m afraid we couldn’t save young Arnav.”

I felt something stab my heart and I sat down. Before I could get him, he was gone. Tears started pouring out of my eyes and my sister wrapped her arms around me, whispering to me that I should be brave. We waited another half an hour and then another doctor came out. I prayed that they would tell me that Lavanya was fine.

“We’re very sorry, the young girl had inhaled to much of the smoke and her body couldn’t handle it.”

I collapsed back into my chair and I felt my heart shatter. I’d lost everything! Everything, gone in a matter of seconds! My best friend, the one who was with me through everything, and the guy I really liked, but never actually got to tell how much he meant to me. My head started hurting and the last thing I knew was darkness…

Khushi managed to stop the memory, but it was too late, she’s relived all of it again. She’d lost her two loved ones all over again. She couldn’t do anything to help them and now they’d left her. A nurse walked in and looked at her.

“Oh good, you’re awake, how are you feeling?”

“My life’s useless.”

“My dear, don’t say that, I understand you’ve lost so much, but you have you’re whole life ahead of you. Would you like me to get you anything?”

“But all my life, the memories will haunt me. Get me something that will take all the memories away, something that would stop all the pain, something that would stop me from remember that I couldn’t save the ones I love. Bring me death…”

Jalebi ~ Part 4

IMG_8793

A few days had passed since the reunion party and Akash’s proposal for Khushi to go into business with Arnav. She was still very confused, but had done her research on AR designs. She had checked all their figures, all their details and it seemed like a good idea. But still she wanted to meet with Arnav.

Khushi took out her phone from her pocket and scrolled with find Arnav’s name.

*Hi Arnav, it’s Khushi. I’ve been thinking about the proposal and I would like to meet with you to discuss it further.*

Within moments, she got a reply from Arnav.

*I was wondering when I wouldn’t hear from you.*

*when are you free?*

*I can do today @5? Are you free then?*

*Yes I am, where would you like to meet?*

*My office?*

*Okay, I’ll see you then.*

So it was decided. She would meet Arnav at 5 at his office.

Khushi got off the chair and went over to her suitcase, which she hadn’t bothered to unpack, and pulled out her most business formal outfit she had. It was a full length black dress. She found a pair of white heels she would wear with them and then also found a white blazer.
She had a couple of hours, but decided that she would start getting dressed. The whole idea was making her nervous, but it did sound like a good idea and it could really help with her business exposure.

“She’s doing to meet me today Akash.”

“Did you reach out to her or did she reach out to you?”

“She messaged me.”

“That means she’s interested! Bhai, we have to make sure we play our cards right.”

“Akash, you maybe the mastermind behind this, but don’t forget, this is my business and we’re going to do things on my terms.”

Akash nodded and smiled. He left Arnav’s room.
Arnav sat there and thought for a while. He liked the idea of going into partnership with Khushi. But he wasn’t sure about Akash’s plan of trying to take her business from her completely. It didn’t feel right. She’s worked just as hard as he’d done, and to take that away from her?

Arnav understood what Akash was saying, and he didn’t necessarily agree, but Akash didn’t need to know that. This was Arnav’s job and he would do it on his terms.

“Mr Raizada, Miss Gupta has arrived.”

“Send her up Aman.”

Arnav sat back in his seat and straightened out the files he had infront of her.
He could hear Khushi’s heels before he saw her. And then he saw her through his glass windows. She looked amazing. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail and her make up was simple. Her outfit brought out the best of her body and he was in awe.

Arnav straightened his suit and sat up. There was a knock at the door.

“Come in.”

Khushi walked in and smiled. Arnav got to his feet.

“Hey.”

“Hi.”

Arnav walked round his desk and over to Khushi. He shook her hand, pulled her chair out and let her sit before he went back over and sat down himself.

“How are you?”

“I’m good, you?”

“I’ve been well. How have you been enjoying your time here so far?”

“It’s been good, haven’t had much time to do anything yet.”

“I can imagine. Can I interest you in anything to drink.”

“No I’m fine thank you.”

They made small talk for a while before they finally got down to what they were here for.

“So Khushi, what have you thought about our proposal?”

“I accept your proposal, but there are obviously a number of details we need to go through before we can sign anything.”

“I’m glad that you have accepted and I did think there would be a number of things you’d like to go through. I have drawn up a draft of a contact with details of what I am proposing.”

Arnav handed a file to Khushi and she began to flip through it.

Khushi pulled a file out of her bag and handed it to Arnav. I have done the same. This is what I have proposed that I want from you’re business, of course the terms are up for negotiation.
Arnav nodded and opened the file he’d been handed.

Both Arnav and Khushi sat with a pencil and annotated the clauses in the proposals they had infront of them.
Arnav looked up from his and looked at Khushi. Her eyes were down and her hand was moving across the page as she made notes for discussion. Arnav couldn’t help but stare at her long lashes casting a shadow on her rosy cheeks. Her hair shined ever so slightly in the light.

Minutes passed and Arnav finally looked away when Khushi began to look up.

“Are you ready to discuss?”

“Yes I am.”

After over an hour of negotiation, clauses were changed and different issues has been addressed. Arnav and Khushi came to an agreement that Khushi would have a 65% share of Khushi and Arnav would have 35. And Arnav would hold 65% of AR while Khushi would get 35%.
Other factors too were discussed and would be finalised with their lawyers.

“So we’ll get all these documents prepared and we’ll both speak to our lawyers and then we’ll meet again to finalise everything and sign contracts?”

“Yes, that sounds like a plan.”

Khushi got to her feet, as did Arnav.

“I’m glad we were able to come to an agreement.”

“Me too.”

“If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.”

“I won’t.”

“Erm Khushi, d’you think, maybe I can take you out for a drink or something to celebrate?”

“We don’t really have anything to celebrate just yet.”

“Alright fine, how about once we get all this stuff finalised?”

“Yeah sure. Why not. Although I don’t really drink.”

“That’s fine, dinner then?”

“You’re on.”

Arnav and Khushi both smiled at one another and then Khushi took her leave. Once he was alone in his office, he called Akash up.

Akash came running in no time.

“So?”

Arnav handed the file over to Akash who flipped through it.

“She’s only giving you 35%?”

“She had initially proposed 25%.”

“And you couldn’t get her to go higher?”

“Akash…”

“Alright alright. But not bad bhai, we can do this.”

Arnav nodded in agreement. But something just didn’t feel right. Why was Akash so hellbent on taking Khushi’s business from her? Arnav couldn’t help but think Akash had some ulterior motive, but surely his brother wouldn’t do anything too underhand?
