Fifty Shades of Raizada ~ Part 3

Khushi got back home and started to take her shoes off when Lavanya came and ambushed her with a tonne of questions.

“Sooo how did it go!?”

“It was okay?”

“That’s all you ever say, surely there’s more to be said.”

“Honestly La, I don’t know what to say. I mean it was nice to be with him but…”

“But…”

“It doesn’t mean anything.”

“He must be interested in you though, otherwise why would he ask you out?”

“I don’t know, but I honestly don’t understand why he would be interested in someone like me.”

“Because you’re gorgeous?”

Khushi shook her head and walked over to her room so that she could get changed. She had to admit, she did have a nice time out with Arnav, and she was definitely attracted to him. What was there not to be attracted to? He was smart, successful, sexy…

“You’re so interested in him, it’s written all over your face.”

“LA! Get out of my room!”

Khushi threw a pillow in Lavanya’s direction who ducked and ran out of the room laughing. She walked over and shut the door and leaned again it. Arnav was certain attractive, but he was also most definitely out of her league…

*****

“Hey Khushi, there’s a package here for you?”

“For me? I haven’t ordered anything though?”

“It looks like a present. And it’s heavy. Come and open it or I’m opening it.”

Khushi rushed out of her bedroom and went to open the parcel that had arrived. It wasn’t particularly large, however it was heavy.

“What on earth?”

She began to peel away the layers of paper to find a stack of beautiful books. Khushi picked on up and looked at the cover and the binding.

“Books? How boring.”

“No Lavanya look… They’re all classics.”

“I’m going to act like I understand why they’re so interesting.”

Khushi shook her head. She loved La, but sometimes she really didn’t understand how they were such good friends. If Khushi was chalk, Lavanya was definitely cheese. They never understood why the other was interested in what they were interested in, but they managed to make it work any way.

“You must have ordered them and forgotten about it.”

“No La. Look at the condition of these books, they’re immaculate.”

“Well when you buy books you do expect them to be like that.”

“No I mean, that they’re old and they look immaculate.”

“So?”

Khushi flipped open the book on top and her mouth dropped open.

“It’s a first edition.”

“Yeah so?”

“It means that one of these books are worth more than this apartment.”

“You’re joking?”

“I’ve never been more serious.”

Khushi looked through all the books and indeed, they were all first editions.

“Who would send you such expensive…”

Lavanya’s eyes lit up as she looked to Khushi. Khushi shook her head.

“No way, why would he…”

“Who else? Do you know anyone else who has money to spare to send you such expensive books?”

“No but…”

“Oh my god Khushi do you know what this means! It means he really likes you!”

“But he hasn’t even tried to reach out to me since the day we met for coffee.”

“What is this if this isn’t him reaching out?”

“I can’t accept these.”

“What why?!”

“Because La! These books are worth more money than either of us could even imagine. I can’t keep something like these.”

Walking back into her bedroom, Khushi pulled her phone out of her pocket and went scrolling for Arnav’s number. However before she could even start thinking about what she wanted to say, a message from him came through.

*My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.*

Khushi couldn’t help but smile, he was quoting Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet.
Before she could respond another message came through.

*These books have been in my possession for a long time and I have treasured them like nothing else. Today I’m giving them to you in the hope you’ll treasure them too.*

*Arnav I can’t accept these.*

*Please accept them, I know you’ll put them to much more use than I have.*

*They’re so expensive though.*

*Please Khushi, they’re a gift from me to you.*

Khushi looked at her phone for a long time, what was she meant to say. She didn’t want to keep these because she knew she could never repay him for something like this, but at the same time she didn’t know how she could say no to him. She didn’t want to persist that she didn’t want them and offend him…

*Okay, I’ll keep them… Thank you ever so much for them.*

*You’re very welcome. I was wondering, would you like to go out for dinner tonight?*

*Tonight?*

*Yes.*

*I’d love to.*

*Great, I’ll pick you up at 8.*

“La help me!”

Lavanya came rushing into the room and Khushi handed over her phone.

“What am I meant to do?!”

“You go out with him of course.”

“I don’t know anything about him! I can’t keep going out with him and accepting expensive gifts!”

“I know what you mean, but Khushi he seems genuinely interested in you.”

“But at the same time it feels like he’s trying to buy me over. I mean who just hands over such expensive books over to a girl they’ve just met.”

“This is ASR Khushi, the value of those books are probably like pocket money to him.”

“La, am I out of my depth here?”

“Maybe a little, but you are going to meet him tonight and you’re going to thank him properly for these books.”

Lavanya walked over to Khushi’s wardrobe and started pulling out different outfits, when a thought hit her.

“Wait.”

“What happened?”

“How does he know where I live?”

“What do you mean?”

“Well he sent the books and he said he’d pick me up at 8, but I’ve never told him our address.”

“So you think he’s stalking you now?”

“La be serious na! How does he know?!”

“Well when I wrote to him about the interview I must have added my address somewhere! Come on Khushi, it’s not that big of a deal!”

Lavanya went back to rummaging through Khushi’s wardrobe, but Khushi couldn’t help but feel a little bit uneasy with everything that was going on. What was going on? And why did she have such a weird feeling about it all?

Within 10 minutes, Lavanya had managed to find an outfit for Khushi to wear. She’d pulled out a dark purple dress with a black sparkly shrug. She then rushed to her own room and pulled out a pair of sparkly black heels.

“Are you sure this will do?”

“You can’t go wrong with an outfit like this. And knowing ASR you guys are probably going to some 10 star restaurant so we need to make sure you look as appropriate as possible.

“I don’t know if I can do this.”

Lavanya stopped and cupped Khushi’s face.

“What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know… I just…”

“If you really don’t want to see him, then just say no.”

“No, its not that… It’s just… I don’t know La.”

“Tell you what. You go and meet him today, and depending on how you feel after we can take the next steps. If you still feel as confused, then we’ll put an end to this business with Raizada. However, if you feel like you have more of a sense of direction, then its cool.”

Khushi nodded, this sounded like a smart idea. She looked at the time and realised she didn’t have to start getting ready for a while still. She decided to sit in silence and mentally prepare herself for another outing with Arnav Singh Raizada.

A Night In Heaven

He slammed the door shut and pushed her against it. Taking her lips in an urgent kiss, Arnav knew that this game had to end. It’d been months, maybe even years since they had last done it.

“Khushi I can’t control myself for another night. Its been too long this time.”
“It was only last week we did it.”
“One week is too long. I lose, you win. I can’t go a couple of days without having sex with you any more. If I had my way, we’d be doing it every single night.”

He pressed his lips onto hers once more. She kissed him back with the same intensity, same need. He realised it. He hadn’t been the only one that had suffered the last week. She had too.

Arnav pulled Khushi’s kameez off and allowed his hands to play with her breasts. He lifted her off the ground and placed her straight onto the bed. Her breasts… God. Arnav broke the kiss and allowed his lips to travel down the column of her neck to her breasts. He took her nipple and teased it with his mouth. He sucked on it lightly, then blew his warm breath onto it, making it stand up proud, begging for him to take it between his lips again.

Khushi’s hands fumbled into his hair. Arnav pulls himself off her for a split second only to take his top off and her shelwar off, pulling her panties away at the same time. He took in the sight. No matter how much he saw her small naked body, it wasnt enough. All he wanted to do was kiss, lick and bite her body. She was beautiful, precious, his. He wanted to leave his mark on her for ever.
Arnav took her other breast and gave it the same treatment as the other. He kissed the valley between her breasts, and went further down. He carried on down her body and when reaching her most intimate part, he stopped only briefly before kissing her passionately down there.

“Arnav…”

That was all he needed. All she had to do was say his name. He was finished. He sucked on her with more intensity before pulling away and pressing his lips to her own. Khushi could taste her own arousal on his lips. It wasn’t something he generally liked, but she knew he could live off her flavour.
Arnav carried on passionately kissing her, all the while, he pressed a finger into her.

“Mmm.”

Khushi ground her hips against his finger, allowing him to push it deeper into her. He pulled his finger away, they both needed his finger in her wasn’t enough.

He pulled away slightly before preparing himself.

Arnav positioned himself and Khushi too readjusted slightly so she could accommodate him better and then he thrust himself into her with all his might.

“Ahh. Ar-Ar-Arnav…”

He loved that sound. Her moaning his name. It was the only time she addressed him as just Arnav. Every other time, even when they were alone, he was Arnavji. But in bed, he was Arnav. He liked it like that.

He continued to thrust in her. Varying his strokes from long deep ones to faster more shallow ones. Khushi wrapped her legs around his waist and bit into him shoulder to stop herself from calling out too loudly. He knew exactly how to hit the right spots, he knew what to do to make her come.

They carried on their fight for control, but finally both gave it. As much as they wanted, needed, more they could go no further. They climaxed and Arnav lay spent next to Khushi.

He looked at the clock. God they had been at it for quite a long time, yet it felt like a couple of minutes. Weird how that happened. He’d felt as though, they’d been at it for tops of 5 minutes. But somehow much more time had passed. Khushi cuddled up to Arnav.

“Arnavji. You’re amazing.”

“Khushi, why is it you only call me ‘Arnav’ when we’re having making love?”

Khushi blushed.

“I don’t really know.”

She hid her face in his chest. He could feel the heat from her cheeks on his chest.

“You’re a sexy beast Khushi, you know that dont you? I never can get enough of you.”

“If thats how you feel about me, think from my point of view. You’re THE hottest man in Delhi, in all of India even. Everyone says it. You were on the front cover of a magazine the other day. 98% of the women that voted said you were the sexiest man in all of Delhi.”

“Jelous much? I’ve got thousands of women after me.”

“You’re mine. I got you first. They can fine their own ASR, cus this ones mine.”

“I love you baby. You’re all I ever need. Honestly, sleeping with you, is experiencing heaven. A night with you, is a night in heaven, Khushi…”

Authors Note:

A while back someone brought it Timmy attention that on IF I had a lot of one shots, which were never posted on here. I had actually forgotten about those.

So what I have done is, is that I’ve taken all of those, and I’m editing them (because I feel my writing has changed and improved a lot since I originally wrote them) and I am reposting them on here. So by no means am I passing this off as new work, it’s all my old work, just edited a bit. Also I’m aware I have a lot of new readers (people who haven’t been following me since IF days) so I guess I’d like them to also read some of my other work.

Something else I have noticed is that, recently the number of views my blog has been getting has been decreasing. I don’t really know why because I have a regular uploading pattern. Is there something you guys aren’t liking, or want changing? Please do let me know and I’ll see you this Sunday with a new chapter to one of my stories.

Jalebi ~ Part 3

Arnav and Khushi sat at the bar and they sipped on their drinks, talking about their businesses and their future plans.

“I really think you should think about expanding into India.”

“I’m not sure. I mean I can’t run the business from England.”

“I think you could.”

“You have so much faith in me.”

“I’ve seen your sales figures, I’ve seen your growth, and as someone who understands the business we’re in, I think there is enough evidence to suggest you can do it.”

Khushi tilted her head to the side and just observed Arnav. This was insane. From being someone who barely acknowledged her existence, he had suddenly become a cheerleader for her business.

Akash and Payal came over and sat down with Arnav and Khushi.

“How’s it going guys?”

“Akash don’t you agree that Khushi should expand her business into India.”

“Sure she should!”

“But Akash, I really don’t think I’d be able to manage both in India and in England.”

Payal spoke up at this point. “Well you were planning on moving back to India any way and running the business from here.”
“I know, but that way my focus would still have been on what’s going on in England. If I were to branch out into India, I’d get more invested with what’s going on here.”

A thought hit Akash.

“Khushi, have you ever considered having a business partner?”

“I have…”

“Then I have a proposition for you. How about you go into partnership with bhai?!”

Arnav and Khushi both looked at Akash like someone had hit them around the head.

“What?”

“Hear me out. If you went into partnership with bhai, your brand would be linked with his and he would also be able to handle the Indian side of your business. That way, your business would get more exposure here but at the same time you would still be able to focus on what’s going on in England.”

Arnav thought about this and he realised this could be a really good idea.

“And Khushi could expose my brand in England. It could be a win win for both of us.”

Khushi thought about this.

“Obviously you don’t have to say anything now. But I feel this would benefit both of you.”

“I don’t know… I mean no offence to you Arnav, but I don’t know you personally. I don’t know how I feel about signing half of my business, which I have worked so hard for, over to you.”

“Then don’t sign over half. Hey listen, let’s not discuss this any more and we have meet again soon to have a look at the situation again.”

Khushi nodded, this seemed like a good idea. The group sat around for a while longer and then the girls decided that they should take a leave.
Akash gave Payal a quick hug and Arnav handed his number over to Khushi.

“Be in touch.”

“I will do.”

*****

“So where are you staying?”

“I have a hotel room booked.”

“You’re going to stay at a hotel?”

“Yes, that’s the plan.”

“No way Khushi! You have to come home with me!”

“No I couldn’t…”

“Please Khushi! Mama and papa would love to see you again! We haven’t seen you in years.”

Khushi looked at her cousin. She loved Payal with all her heart. Khushi’s parents had always lived in England, whereas Payal’s family had never left India. However, Khushi’s parents hadn’t wanted her to grow up in London, so she had lived with Payal’s family. Although her aunt and her uncle were welcoming, they weren’t exactly the biggest fans of the way Khushi’s parents had chosen to spend their lives. They hadn’t approved that they live in England while their daughter was in India. But regardless they had kept Khushi and treated her as their own.

“Alright. I’ll come, but only for tonight!”

*****

“Amma, Babuji, I’m back and look who I’ve got with me!”

“Payal! They’re probably sleeping! Have you seen the time?”

No sooner had Khushi finished her sentence, Garima came rushing out of the living room. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Khushi and her eyes welled with tears.

“Khushi!? My goodness, my child.”

Garima came rushing forward and called Shashi to come too. She took Khushi into a strong arms as her eyes leaked with the tears she could no longer hold back.
Garima pulled back and cupped Khushi’s face.

“My child! You’re home!”

“She was planning on staying at a hotel amma.”

“How could you even think like that Khushi!”

Khushi looked away awkwardly as Shashi came rushing forward.

“Arre, Khushi? You didn’t tell us you were coming?”

“It was a last minute plan Mausaji, I wasn’t sure I was coming back to India at all.”

“It’s so good to see you.”

Garima led Khushi into the living room where the little family spoke for hours. They asked about Khushi’s parents, about her job, about her life in general.

“How long do you plan to stay in India.”

“I’ve only come for about a week to be honest. I have to be back soon for work and stuff.”

“Well it’s settled, you’re staying with us.”

“Honestly Maasi, its fine, I have a hotel booked and everything.”

“There is no way we are letting you stay in a hotel and that’s final.”

Khushi tried to get her point across, but her aunt and uncle weren’t having it. So she gave in and decided she would have to stay with them while she was here. It was nearing 1am and everyone was tired so Payal said they should all get to bed.

“Khushi, stay in my room with me?”

“Are you sure, I can stay in the guest room.”

“No please, stay with me Khushi, I’ve missed you so much.”

Khushi nodded and allowed Payal to take her things through into her room.
Both went and got ready for bed.

“So tell me now, what were you and Arnav talking about?”

“Not much to be honest, just business and what we’ve been doing since high school.”

“Have you thought about what Akash suggested?”

“About going into partnership with Arnav? I have been thinking about it, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea.”

“I think you should consider it at least.”

“Hmm. Enough about me, what about you and Akash?”

Payal blushed.

“What about us?”

“Do you still want to balleh balleh with him?”

Payal hit Khushi with her pillow, who fell back laughing.

“Really Khushi, balleh balleh?”

“Well do you?”

“I never stopped thinking about him. And seeing him today and realising that he never stopped thinking about me either makes me realise that perhaps it was meant to be between us.”

“Do you have any plans to see him again?”

“Maybe…”

Khushi winked at Payal and in return got hit with the pillow again before falling back with laughter.

*****

“What are you thinking about bhai?”

“I’m thinking my cousin really is smart.”

“So you liked what I pulled out of the bag?”

“You’re planning is amazing.”

Arnav and Akash were back at home at were sitting at the bar in their house.

“How did you find out about Khushi and her business?”

“I saw her in a magazine and then did some research.”

“Do you think she’s going to accept your proposal?”

“Bhai, you are going to make sure she does.”

“I don’t know Akash, I know we said we needed to do something to help boost AR, but…”

“Bhai, come on now. This is what all business people have to do if they want to make it.”

“But stealing her business?”

“Sh. Bhai. It isn’t stealing her business if she hands it over to you.”

“I don’t know Akash…”

Arnav sipped the last of his drink deep in thought. If they were to do this, it would take a lot of convincing because it didn’t seem like Khushi would just hand over half her business, but if the played the game right then…

“Let’s do it Akash.”

Akash poured then both another drink and then raised his glass.

“Here’s to taking Khushiyan and becoming an unstoppable fashion house…”

Arnav clinked his glass with Akash and they both drank in silence. The real game was about to begin…

Fifty Shades of Raizada ~ Part 2

vI2Gra1

Khushi walked into the café and couldn’t help but gasp. It wasn’t a café she’d been to before, but now standing inside she understood why. This wasn’t her scene. This café may as well have been some kind of 5 star hotel. Khushi looked around. All the people that were sat around were all suited and booted and looked ever so formal. She looked down at herself. She was definitely underdressed. She pulled her phone out of her purse to find a message from Arnav.

*Ask for ASR at the counter.*

Khushi slipped her phone back into her purse and did exactly that. The woman nodded and led Khushi out of the main room of the café and into a smaller one round the back. It was just as pretty and lavishly decorated as the main area, but the room itself was much smaller and a lot more cosy. There was even a real fireplace with a real fire burning. At a table was Arnav, tapping away at his phone. The woman gestured Khushi to go over as she left the room.

Khushi took a deep breath and walked over to the table. When Arnav noticed her coming, he got to his feet and moved over to Khushi’s chair where he pulled the chair out for her.

“Hi.”

“Hi, have you been waiting long?”

“No I only got here a few minutes ago.”

“Mr Raizada…”

“Please call me Arnav.”

“Arnav this is… Isn’t this a bit much for coffee?”

Arnav chuckled and moved back to his own chair.

“I don’t like doing things by halves. Especially the first time I meet a lady.”

“Is this why people never see you out with women?”

“Yes and no. I like my privacy so if I am meeting someone I like doing it like this. But a lot of the time it’s simply because I don’t really go out with people much.”

“What did you mean when you said you didn’t really do the dating thing?”

Arnav looked at Khushi and he could tell she had many questions, but he also knew he didn’t want to say too much because he could tell she was different from other women.

“What would you like to drink?”

Khushi understood at that moment that she shouldn’t ask about the dating thing. It was evidently something he didn’t want to talk about, and she knew better than anyone else that you shouldn’t press people if they didn’t want to tell you something.

“I’ll have a mocha please.”

Arnav nodded and walked over to a little intercom where he placed their order. Once he was done, he came back and sat down at the table.

“You look lovely by the way.”

“Thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself.”

This of course was an understatement. Arnav looked amazing, he looked hot as anything and Khushi couldn’t deny it. He was wearing a simple black turtleneck jumper with black jeans. She didn’t feel underdressed sat here with him. But she did feel intimidated. It had been a long time since she had sat like this around such a handsome and powerful man. Everything about Arnav oozed with power and control. His hair was immaculate, not a strand out of place. You could tell he was a man who had everything his way, nothing moved unless he ordered it to.

“So tell me a little about yourself.”

“There isn’t really much to tell about me.”

“Well start with what you’re studying.”

“I’m studying business and English literature.”

“Really? That’s very interesting, that’s what I did my BA in as well.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I majored in Business and then I did English Lit on the side as well.”

“Wow I didn’t know that?”

“Not a lot of people do. The media tend to focus on the fact that I did business in fashion as my MBA.”

“Why did you want to study English Lit?”

“As a child, my mother used to love reading books to me. All kinds of books and I loved all the different stories she had to tell. So when she passed away, I felt like I had to carry on reading, to keep her memory alive. I felt like the books in the house all had a bit of her and I wanted to find every part of her that she left behind. When I started reading, I got more and more interested. So I decided to study more when I went to university. What about you?”

“I just didn’t really know what else to study to be honest.”

Khushi couldn’t help but feel her answer was a bit dumb. Arnav had such a deep reasoning behind his choices and then there was her. However, Arnav didn’t seem to be thrown. He carried on asking her about her favourite books and her favourite authors and her favourite poems. They spoke as they waited for their order to come, and they carried on speaking over their coffees.

“Would you be interested in working for my company?”

“Me?”

“Yeah.”

“I don’t know. I’ve never really been into fashion.”

“What do you plan to do after you graduate?”

“I was thinking of going home for a while, back to Lucknow and then maybe teaching children over there English.”

“You sound like you have a plan.”

“What I really want to do is travel and find something that I really want to do. Maybe start my own kind of business. But right now I don’t really know what I want to do.”

“I understand what you’re saying.”

Arnav looked down at his coffee. Their time was nearing an end and he wasn’t ready to let her go yet. There was something about her. Something about Khushi that was drawing her to him. She wasn’t the usual type he’s go for, but there was something about her that was causing him to be pulled towards her and he didn’t know what it was.

Khushi looked at her watch and realised that she should start thinking about leaving.

“Well… This has been nice.”

“Yeah it has…”

“Arnav, I’m afraid I have to leave now. I need to get home and get some work done.”

“I have to get going too really.”

They both got to their feet and they left the building and they made their way down to their respective cars.

“Which ones your car?”

Khushi pointed to her little silver car and Arnav smiled.

“It’s cute, suits you.”

Khushi blushed and unlocked her car. She looked to Arnav waiting for him to say something before she took her leave. Arnav dug his hands into his pockets, not entirely sure of what he needed to say.

“Well… Yeah it was nice seeing you again.”

“You too.”

Khushi smiled, gave a little wave and began to make her way to her car. Arnav watched her as she unlocked her car, oh how he wanted to grab her and pin her against the car and kiss her. But he resisted. It was too soon, and he couldn’t tell if she was actually interested in him. She was one of a kind, she was shy and she wasn’t as forward as other woman. As much as he wanted to cut the chase and get her into his bed, he knew that if he moved too fast, it would just put her off. So he was prepared to wait and play it slow. He needed to make sure that she was interested in him too.

Arnav watched as she drove off. He wanted her. That was certain.

~Five Years Later~

“Hey Arnav!”

“Wow hi Lavanya! How are you?”

“I’m good! It’s so good to see you again!”

“I know! Can you believe we haven’t seen each other in about four years!”

Arnav greeted Lavanya in the loud crowded hall. They were surrounded by all their classmates from high school. It was exactly five years ago that they have graduated from high school, and now they were all back together for a reunion. Many people had gotten married in the time that had passed, some even had children. However, Arnav Singh Raizada was still very much single and was one of the most desired men in India. Once he’d left high school he’d gone off to Harvard to study business where he got his degree from and then carried on and got his Masters from. Then he’d come back to India about half a year ago where he started up AR Designs.

“How have you been?”

“I’ve been well! How about you? How’s your husband?”

“Oh haven’t you heard, we’re getting a divorce.”

“I’m sorry to hear that.”

“Don’t be! I couldn’t deal with him any longer.”

“Oh well in that case I’m glad you’re happier now.”

“What about you? Great ASR still single?”

“You know how it is, I just haven’t met the one yet.”

Lavanya laughed and was about to say something else when someone distracted her. She excused herself from Arnav and went over to speak to someone else. Akash walked over to Arnav.

“She coming! She said she’s 5 minutes away! Bhai can you believe I’m going to see her again!”

“I still can’t believe you haven’t seen her in the last 5 years. What kind of couple were you two. She moved away and you never even tried to see her again.”

“We have our reasons! You wouldn’t understand.”

“Nope, I definitely wouldn’t.”

Akash straightened his tie and took a sip of wine. Arnav shook his head and laughed. His cousin was always so hopeless when it came to women.
A tall slender woman walked into the room, wearing a pale blue sari. Akash nudged Arnav.

“Bhai, it’s her!”

Akash passed his drink back to Arnav and walked over to Payal and he greeted her.

“Payal! You look… You look stunning!”

“Thank you! You look really nice too.”

Arnav rolled his eyes and walked over to the pair. He’d never had an issue with Payal, she was a nice girl after all, but he couldn’t understand what was so special about her that his cousin was never able to get over her. She was certainly easy on the eyes, and he knew she was smart, but she just didn’t have that wow factor. But each to their own. If Akash wanted to be with her, then who cares what Arnav thought.

“Hi Arnav!”

“Hey, how are you.”

“I’m well, you?”

“I’ve been good.”

“Congratulations on launching AR Designs, I’ve been reading all about it.”

“Thank you. It’s a work in progress but we’re getting there.”

“India’s third largest fashion house in less than a year of being established. I think you’re doing more than well.”

Arnav felt himself go a little bit shy. Yes, his company was doing a lot better than he’d expected it to. Especially considering how small it was compared to other fashion houses. But he couldn’t complain, his hard work was paying off and he was ready to rock the world.
Lavanya came back over to Arnav who stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Payal.

“Wait, I remember you! Payal Gupta right.”

“Yeah.”

“Your sari! It’s a Khushiyan one!”

“Yes it is.”

“How did you get your hands on one?! They don’t ship to India!”

“My cousin…”

It was just then when the door behind them opened and another woman walked in. She was wearing a sheer black sari with a simple diamond necklace and bracelet. She had 6 inch heels on and her long dark hair cascaded down her back.

“Damn who is that?”

Arnav’s attention turned to the woman who just walked in and he couldn’t help but stare. She really was gorgeous. Many heads turned as she walked into the room and over to Akash and Payal who had moved forward to meet her.

“You made it!”

“You sent me a personal request Akash, how could I not come?”

Lavanya and Arnav watched on as Payal hugged her newcomer.

“ASR, who is that?”

“I honestly don’t know.”

“She gorgeous.”

“She wasn’t on any of the sporting teams and I’m sure she wasn’t a cheerleader.”

“No she wasn’t a cheerleader, I’d remember if she was.”

“Who is she?”

Akash, Payal and the newcomer came back and joined Arnav and Lavanya. Lavanya’s jaw dropped once more.

“Your sari is a Khushiyan one too. Where have you guys got these saris from? I’ve been looking at them in all the fashion magazines and I’ve been dying to get my hands on one.”

Akash smirked.

“Lavanya, Bhai, allow me to introduce you to Khushi Kumari Gupta, owner of Khushiyan Designs.”

“Wait. You own Khushiyan.”

Khushi blushed but she nodded all the same. Arnav looked at her. There was something about this girl that seemed ever so familiar but he just couldn’t put his thumb on it.

“And you were in our graduating class?”

“I left a couple of weeks before graduation, but yes. We were in the same class throughout high school.”

And that’s when Arnav realised who she was.

“Jalebi!” Arnav shouted out as he realised who she was. Khushi looked to Arnav, her expression falling slightly. “You’re Jalebi?”

“Yeah, I am.”

Khushi turned away, not entirely happy that Jalebi had come back to haunt her. Khushi hadn’t minded being known as Jalebi, but once she had gone to university, she wanted people to know her as Khushi, to appreciate who she really was. She had worked her butt off to get her degree and then it had taken her a whole lot of work and effort to get her business started. Regardless, she had managed it, and less than 2 years on, Khushiyan Designs was headlining in a lot of fashion magazines, and not just the Indian ones.

Akash excused himself and Payal as he led her over to the snacks table. Lavanya too walked away, going over to talk to an old friend, leaving Arnav and Khushi on their own.

“So, what did you do after high school?”

“I went to Oxford to get my degree, you?”

“I went Harvard.”

“Oh that’s cool, what did you study?”

“Business. You?”

“Same.”

“I guess we weren’t that different then?”

“To some extent. You were the king of jocks, the guy everyone wanted to be with and I was just boring little Jalebi with the oily hair.”

“Well I must say, the oil has benefited your hair, it looks really amazing, as does the rest of you.”

Khushi blushed and thanked Arnav.

“So Khushiyan, it’s all yours?”

“Yeah.”

“You’ve done really well with it, I’ve read all kinds of articles about it.”

“Thanks. AR has done pretty amazingly too.”

“Have you thought about bringing Khushiyan over to India?”

“I have… But I don’t know if it’ll be successful here.”

“I think it would. I mean, you saw how Lavanya reacted. There are plenty of people who feel the same way.”

“Do you really think so?”

“Yeah I really do.”

“Should you be saying that? Considering that if I did bring my business it would be a competitor of yours?”

“It would be nice to have some real competition.”

“You don’t produce any Asian clothes like me though?”

“I guess that’s where our businesses are different. I’m selling western to the eastern community and you’re selling eastern to the western.”

Arnav and Khushi continued to speak about their businesses.

“Hey d’you want a drink?”

“Sure.”

Arnav led Khushi over to the bar where he picked up a glass of wine for the both of them.

Akash and Payal watched from a distance.

“You were right Payal, those two really have hit it off.”

Arnav turned and looked at Khushi, who looked straight back at him. Arnav’s body tensed slightly, but he then relaxed and walked over to where Khushi was standing.

“Miss Kashyap?”

“No, La… Miss Kashyap is my friend but she’s not feeling well today so she sent me in her place.”

“Oh I see, so you are?”

“I’m Khushi. Khushi Gupta.”

“Well Miss Gupta, please come and take a seat.”

Arnav led Khushi over to his large wooden desk and Khushi looked around. Everything was so big and, well clean. She did expect it to be clean, but if you didn’t know better, it was almost as though his office was hardly ever used. There wasn’t a single sheet of paper out of place. Arnav moved over to his side of the desk and sat down, straightening his tie.

“How are you today Miss Gupta?”

“I’m very well thank you, how are you?”

“I’m well too. I’ve been told have questions for me?”

“Yes, erm should I get started?”

“Please do.”

“Alright, first question, what made you want to start a fashion brand?”

“I love fashion. I love clothes and I love the idea that people want to wear what I create.”

“You initially started your company in the US where you studied, what made you want to move your business to India?”

“My family were all here and I didn’t like living in the US on my own any more. I wanted to come back, make a name for myself here where it really mattered.”

“You’re parents died when you were young, do you believe that’s changed the kind of person you are now?”

Arnav looked at Khushi at this point and realised she was looking down at the paper she had in her hands. He took in her long hair falling over her eyes, her slender arms… Khushi looked up when she realised he was taking too long to answer and was met with Arnav’s dark brown eyes just watching her. He broke the eye contact first.

“Yes my parents passed away when I was only 14 and yes it has changed who I am. It’s made me see life in a much different way… Much much different.”

“Could you elaborate?”

However before Arnav could respond, a PA walked through the door to notify Arnav that his next meeting started in 10 minutes and that he needed to prepare for it.

“Delay my meeting by half an hour. We’re not done here.”

“Yes sir.”

The PA ducked out of the door and Khushi felt a little bit stunned. From everything she had read about Arnav in the past, he wasn’t a man who cancelled or even delayed meetings. However, Khushi dismissed the thought, it probably was just a meeting who wasn’t too bothered about.

“You’re next question Miss Gupta?”

“Oh erm…”

Khushi looked back to the notes, slightly confused as to where she had got to.

“You haven’t really been seen out in public with any women, is there a reason for that?”

“I don’t really do the dating thing.”

“You don’t?”

“No.”

“Is there a specific reason for that?”

“There is, but it isn’t one I’d share over an interview like this.”

“I see…”

“Miss Gupta…”

“Please call me Khushi.”

“Khushi… Can I take you out for coffee tomorrow?”

“Coffee? With you?”

Arnav chuckled at her bewilderment.

“Yes with me.”

“I don’t know…”

“I’d like to get to know more about you in a less formal setting and when we have more time.”

“There isn’t really much to know about me.”

“I’m sure we can find some common ground.”

Khushi looked down at the papers in her hand. Coffee with Arnav Singh Raizada? THE ASR? Was this really happening?

“Alright, yes, I’ll meet you for coffee.”

“Great! Let’s get these questions finished now though. I have a meeting and I’d rather not have to discuss work over coffee.”

Khushi nodded and carried on reading out and taking notes of the answers that Arnav was providing her with.

A little while more passed and the questions were done. Arnav got to his feet, as did Khushi.

“Can I take your number?”

“Yes, of course.” Khushi scribbled her number down on a piece of paper and handed it to Arnav.

“I’ll check my schedule and I’ll text you a time and place. Are you free all day tomorrow?”

Khushi nodded and she took her leave. Arnav watched as she left and couldn’t help but let a smile creep across his face. There was something about this girl. He knew nothing about her, but there was something… Something that was drawing her to him. He had to know more about her.

*****

“Did you get the answers to all my questions?”

“Yeah.”

“How was he?”

“He was alright.”

“Just alright?”

“I guess so?”

“Khushi, you just met Arnav Singh Raizada and all you have to say is that he was alright?”

“Well I guess he wasn’t as tall as I expected him to be. In pictures he looks a lot taller.”

“Is that all?”

“Yeah.”

“Khushi you really are hopeless you know that.”

“Can’t be too hopeless, I’m meeting him for coffee tomorrow.”

“Wait?! What?! You’re meeting him for coffee?”

“Yes.”

“What for?”

“He just said that he’d like to get to know me in a less formal setting.”

“Oh my gosh! I can’t believe this! My Khushi has a date with THE Arnav Singh Raizada.”

“It’s not a date La.”

“What would you call it then?”

“Well…”

Lavanya took her questions with the answers, she was still flabbergasted that Khushi had managed to get a date with Arnav. Khushi walked into her bedroom. Was it really a date? Surely not. Why would someone like him want to date someone like her?
Khushi began to get changed when her phone pinged to tell her that she had a message. Khushi picked her phone up. It was from an unsaved number.

*Hi it’s Arnav. Can you do half 3 at The Grand Central cafe?*

Khushi couldn’t help but keep her smile off her face. Was he actually interested in her?

*I’m free all day so yes, I can meet you there at half 3.*

*Great, I can’t wait to see you!*

Khushi put her phone down. She was meeting Arnav Singh Raizada for coffee!

*****

“La do I look okay?”

Lavanya looked up from her laptop to find Khushi wearing long sleeved black top with a long maroon skirt. She teamed the outfit up with a pair a of black suede kitten heels and a suede purse.

“You look perfect!”

“It’s not too much is it?”

“Khushi if you made any less effort it would look like you just rolled out of bed and went to see him.”

“So I look okay?”

“You look perfect! Now go otherwise you’ll get late!”

“Alright alright! I’m going!”

“Have fun!”

“It’s just coffee La.”

“Starts off as coffee and then you get laid.”

“La!”

“It’s true!”

Khushi hit Lavanya’s arm lightly and took her leave. She was actually going to meet Arnav for coffee, how was this actually happening?

Jalebi ~ Part 1

IMG_8793

“Hey guys look, Jalebi just walked into the room.

Everyone turned to look at the girl who’d walked into the canteen. She was wearing a simple pink selwar kameez, and she had her hair plaited down her back.

“God she’s such a weirdo, who puts that much oil in their hair.”

“And who eats so many jalebis?”

The group of teenagers sniggered. Akash Singh Raizada shook his head.

“You guys, why don’t you just leave her alone.”

“Ak we know you’re trying to get it on with her cousin, but that didn’t mean you have to be so defensive of Jalebi as well. We have nothing against Payal.”

“I know, it’s just rude, just leave her alone.”

The group looked away, you couldn’t argue with Akash. Everyone went back to their own world and forget all about ‘Jalebi.’ Akash got off the table and left the canteen and made his way down to the library to find Payal.
Payal Gupta was busy putting her books back on the shelf when Akash wrapped his arms around her.

“Akash…”

“I can’t believe you’re leaving today.”

“I know, this day has come so soon.”

“Are you sure you can’t stay until graduation? It’s only 5 weeks away now?”

“I want to, you know I do, but Babuji’s boss wants him to start as soon as possible. We can’t stay any longer.”

“Why does this have to happen? Why do you have to leave me just as we get together.”

Payal placed a gentle kiss on Akash’s lips.

“We were going to be parting ways to go to university any way.”

“I know, but… I wanted to take you to prom! Lucknow is so far away, I feel selfish to ask you to come back for prom.”

Payal chuckled and held onto Akash’s hand.

“This isn’t the end of us Akash. If we were meant to be, we’ll find our ways back to each other again soon.”

“Soon won’t be soon enough.”

Akash pulled Payal into him. He was a big boy, strong and he had the power over people. Yet with Payal he felt like a child. He needed her with him. How could he let her go. He felt tears gathering in his eyes as they kissed for the last time.

*****

“Watch it Jalebi!”

“Sorry… I didn’t…”

“No you didn’t see. Jheez when do you ever look where you’re going. Whenever I see you, you’re always picking books up off the floor.”

Jalebi bent down to pick her books up. She looked up to find ‘him’ watching her. He was Arnav, Arnav Singh Raizada. Captain of the football team, captain of the cricket team and all round perfect jock. He was also the cousin of Akash, yet other than their initials, they didn’t have anything in common. If Arnav was an all round jock, Akash was an all round academic. Arnav was captain of every sport team of the school, whereas Akash was student body president. Akash was kind and easy going, whereas Arnav was as subtle as a bulldozer and the most arrogant person you could ever meet.

Jalebi picked up her books and was ready to leave when Arnav called her back.

“Hey, you and Payal are leaving today aren’t you?”

“Yes we are.”

“That sucks. I mean Akash’s really cut about about Payal leaving.”

“She’s not exactly thrilled herself.”

“We’ve never really got on have we?”

“I didn’t even know you knew my name.”

“I… I don’t.”

Arnav couldn’t help feel a little bit uncomfortable at this point. Now that he actually thought about it, he really didn’t know her name. Everyone had called her Jalebi ever since they’d started high school, and it had stuck.

“I’m Khushi.”

“Khushi.”

“Yes Khushi.”

“Well I guess it’s been cool knowing you.”

Khushi couldn’t help but feel a little bit angry. Cool knowing you? What was he saying? He didn’t know a think about her, heck, he didn’t even know her name. But regardless, she didn’t say anything, what was the point. Khushi simply smiled, made sure she had all her things and walked away. Thank god she never had to deal with these jerks ever again…

Scars ~ Part 40 ~ FINAL PART

Arnav checked himself and Khushi into a room in the hotel, screw drinks. He just wanted to be with his Khushi now. He undid the buttons of his suit faster than anything and pulled all his clothes off. Once out of everything other than his boxers, Arnav grabbed hold of Khushi who had also made light work of her clothes and pushed her down onto the bed and came over her. Arnav attacked her lips and he fumbled with her bra.
Khushi let her hands move down to Arnav’s member who was already hard and pushed his boxers away. Arnav did the same with Khushi’s underwear and threw it across the room.

“God it’s been too long.”

“It has…”

“I’m going to fu*k the daylights out of you baby.”

“Please do.”

Arnav smiled and kissed Khushi’s neck. This felt right, being here with her. He carried on kissing her neck, all the while touching her breasts. He trailed his kisses down her torso. His hands were one step ahead of him and were playing with her. Soon arnav’s lips found their destination and he kissed Khushi down there. She let out a soft moan as her fingers locked into his hair, pulling him further into herself.

“Ah Arnav…”

He pulled himself away slightly and looked into her eyes.

“You like it when I eat you out don’t you baby.”

Khushi blushed a deep shade of red and hid her face with her hands.
Arnav smirked and went back to what he was doing. His fingers played with her while his tongue caused havoc within her. Khushi wrapped her legs around Arnav’s neck, bringing him closer to herself. Her hips arched up, letting his tongue dig in deeper.

“Arnav, I can’t…”

He pulled away and positioned himself on top of her. He asked her for permission with his eyes and Khushi smiled and she pulled him into herself.

Arnav positioned himself on top and he got ready to enter.

“I love you Khushi.”

“I love you too…”

“Thank you, for everything. For being the best wife a man could ask for. Thank you for having faith in me when I didn’t have faith in myself, and for staying by my side.”

“I’ll always be by your side. No matter what.”

Arnav placed a passionate kiss on her lips as he lowered himself in. Khushi gasped as she let her legs wrap around his waist. No matter how many times they did it, it always felt like the first time. This was how things were, and this is how they were meant to be.

*****

~ Two years later ~

“I can’t believe I’m finally going to graduate from college.”

“You’re finally living your dream out.”

“My dreams came true when you accepted me as your wife.”

Arnav smiled and placed a kiss on Khushi’s lips.

“I’m so proud of you baby. Hey I got something for you?”

“You did?”

Arnav nodded as he went over to his wardrobe and pulled out a box wrapped in gold paper. He handed it over to Khushi.

“You didn’t need to get me anything!”

“I know, but I thought I may as well.”

Khushi opened the box box to reveal a midnight blue sari. It was fairly simple, but the border was heavy and was gold. The blouse too was gold and extremely heavy.

“Arnav… It’s gorgeous!”

“It’s from our winter range. Thought you could model it for us so people could get the first look.”

“Well that’s very thoughtful of you.”

“There’s something under the sari for the after party.”

Khushi shook her head and laughed. She carefully took the sari out of the box and put it down onto the bed. Underneath was a black, silky gown.

“Oh Arnav… This is gorgeous!”

“This one I had designed especially for you.”

“I love it!!”

“There’s one more. At the bottom there’s something for the after after party.”

“What after after party?”

Arnav smirked and pulled Khushi into his arms.

“You know, the party me and you are attending.”

“I wasn’t aware we were attending such party.”

“Well we are so I suggest you have a look at what I’ve got for you to wear.”

Khushi blushed and went back to the box. Carefully, she removed the black gown, which she now realised had slight sparkles. She put it down onto the bed and there, underneath was a pair of red panties and a red lacy bra.

“D’you like it?”

“Of course I do!”

“So we’re definitely partying with you in those?”

Khushi threw Arnav a playful smile and went to get dressed.

*****

“Mrs Khushi Singh Raizada, please come and collect your diploma.”

Khushi walked across the stage in her graduation rope and cap with her sari Arnav had gifted her on underneath. She walked across the stage and looked out to see her family cheering for her. She saw her husband, her biggest fan whooping and clapping as loudly as he could. There was Anjali di with her 1 year old, just beaming up at her. Payal and Akash sat together, glowing with pride. And then there was her Mausaji. He was sat right at the front with a tear in his eye. Tear of happiness that his girl had finally managed to achieve what she had wanted to achieve. Garima had been invited, but she’d declined. After the divorce things had gotten slightly better between Khushi and Garima, however, not a lot. But Khushi didn’t care. If her aunt didn’t care for her, then she wasn’t going to get down over it. There were plenty of people in her life that did love her and did care for her.

She gave a little wave to them all and then carried on to collect her diploma and then went on to join her friends on the other side of the stage.

Lavanya hugged Khushi and Raj gave her a high five.

“Can you believe we’ve done it?”

“We’ve finally done it!”

Somewhere along the lines, Tom and Amrita were lost. After they’d broken up, things just hadn’t been the same for the group and slowly they’d become distant from Khushi, La and Raj. However, this change hadn’t affected the friendship between the three of them. They’d stuck it out together and now they were victorious coming out at the other end.
Slowly but surely, their whole graduating class joined them on the other side of the stage. When everyone had joined them, there was last short speech and then they threw their hats up, they’d made it.

*****

“Right I’m going to get the first round of drinks in. What’s everyone drinking?”

“I’ll have a vodka on the rocks.” Arnav said to Raj with a nod.

“Champaign for me please.” Replied Lavanya.

“I’ll just have a lemonade.” Said Khushi.

“Oh cmon Khush, it’s graduation night, one drink?”

Khushi shook her head and cuddled closer to Arnav. She looked around the large banquet hall and smiled to see all her classmates enjoying themselves.

“It’s graduation night, I want to be able to remember everything clearly. I just don’t want to be tipsy.”

“In that case, I’ll just have a coke.”

“Arnav, are you sure?”

“It’s my wife’s graduation. I don’t want to get hammered.”

Raj nodded and went to get the drinks, while Lavanya, Arnav and Khushi carried on talking.

“So now that we’ve graduated, when are you and Raj thinking of getting married?”

“We were thinking of maybe in July?”

Somewhere over the course of the two years, Raj and Lavanya had realised that they had feelings for each other that was more than friends. It had taken them both a long time to admit it, but since they had, things hadn’t been better. And soon, they were to get married!

Before much could be discussed, Raj returned with the drinks and handed everyone their orders.

“I love your gown Khushi, where’s it from?”

“AR.”

“I shouldn’t have bothered asking.”

Lavanya laughed and she slowly began to drink her drink. Arnav took Khushi’s hand into his. They looked around the room. Everyone was enjoying themselves, having a drink or dancing.

“Wanna dance?” Arnav whispered into Khushi’s ear.

“I thought you’d never ask.”

Arnav helped Khushi to her feet and they made their way over to the dance floor. The music was soft and Arnav and Khushi swayed slowly.

“You really do look amazing tonight baby.”

“You don’t look half bad yourself Raizada.”

“Are you enjoying yourself?”

“Of course. Today’s been one of the best days ever.”

“Well the night is still young, sure I could find a way to make even better for you.”

Khushi blushed a deep shade of red. The music picked up and Arnav began to twirl her. They danced as though they were the only two people in the world. He held her close and looked into her eyes as they danced slowly in time with the music. He moved in to her ever so slightly and Khushi looked ever so slightly confused until she realised. She moved into him too until their lips touched ever so slightly. Khushi pulled away though.

“What’s wrong?”

“There’s too many people here.”

“Shall we go upstairs?”

“Upstairs?”

“Start our after after party early?”

“Did you book us a room?”

“Of course I did.”

Khushi blushed and placed a peck on Arnav’s cheek.

“Can we go up in a bit? I want to spend a little bit more time with Lavanya and Raj.

“We can do whatever you like babe. It’s your night after all.”

They carried on dancing until the song ended and Arnav took Khushi’s hand so that they could go back to La and Raj. However as they were approaching them, Khushi changed her mind.

“What’s wrong?”

“Let’s go upstairs.”

“Khushi…”

“No I want to.”

*****

Arnav opened the door to the room that he had booked out for himself and Khushi. Khushi looked around and gasped.

The room was decorated with rose petals. There were petals all over the floor and all over the bed. Little tea lights were also scattered all over the room.

“Arnav…”

Arnav moved into Khushi and lifted her chin and kissed her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in close to himself. Khushi let her hands move under his suit jacket and placed them on his chest.

“Tonight has been the best.”

“And it’s not over yet baby.”

Arnav slipped the gown off of Khushi’s shoulders. The silky material trailed down her body and pooled around her heels on the floor. Arnav took a step back and his breath caught in his throat. She was wearing the red lacy lingerie he had gifted her and she looked divine.

“Hold on a second.”

Khushi looked up, her eyebrows raised in question.
Arnav moved over to the little speaker and clicked it on. The slow, calming introduction of ‘Pyaar De’ came on. Khushi bit her lip and Arnav made his way back to her. As he was approaching, he shrugged out of his clothes, letting it all fall anywhere.

Arnav lifted Khushi off the floor, and touched his lips to hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kept them like that as he settled them both down on to the bed. Arnav removed her hands from around his neck and he slowly worked down her body, placing light kisses as he went.

*Pyaar de, mujhe tu pyaar de…*

Arnav unclipped her bra and slowly pulled her panties away from her body and freed himself of his own underwear.

*Zara nazdeek tu, aane de…*

“I love you baby.”

“I love you too jaan.”

Arnav rested his lips on Khushi’s once more and he positioned himself between her legs. He pushed himself into her and Khushi wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him closer to herself.

“Ahh.”

Arnav locked his fingers into Khushi’s as he slowly penetrated her body with his length.
The soft melody of the song carried on playing, all the while their soft moans of pleasure also filled the room.

Khushi slowly opened her eyes to find Arnav too was opening his eyes slightly. She looked at her strong, loving husband making love to her and tightened her legs around him. She couldn’t help but think back to a time when she thought it would be impossible for her to be where she was now.

She’d managed to live her dream and graduated from college and her husband loved her, every inch of her, every little flaw, every little perk.
Her mind flew back to those days over 3 years ago and couldn’t help but smile. She turned her head slightly and looked at her hand locked with Arnav’s and her gaze dropped slightly to her wrist. Feint scars were still present, battle scars, but they were fading every day. She looked back to Arnav and smiled and shut her eyes.

The physical scars were fading and the mental scars had long faded now and that was all a result of Arnav’s love.
Because true love could heal any scar…

Scars ~ Part 39

“Your honour, as you can see, Mr Raizada had every reason to carry out the act that he has been accused of. Only a few weeks before the incident at Mr Raizada was defamed by Miss Kapoor in a national newspaper. Surely if someone did that to you, you would want to get revenge. So that’s exactly what the accused did. He tried to get revenge and teach Miss Kapoor a lesson so that she never messed with him again.”

It had been a long a grueling day. Time and time again Arnav’s lawyers points against Sheetal were being dismissed, he was constantly being made to feel like a fiend. Slowly, Arnav was losing any hope of proving his innocence. He looked over to where Khushi was sitting. She was sat with her head still held high because she had faith in her husband. A week had passed since that incident had taken place and Khushi had remained positive and she kept Arnav’s hopes high. She took care of him, she kept him away from the glares he was getting, and she made sure that now more than ever her husband knew that she loved him very much.

Arnav appreciated the efforts that his lawyer was making, and more than appreciated the effort that Khushi was making, but he couldn’t but feel pessimistic.

Sheetal’s lawyer was not done with his piece yet.

“Your honour, I would like to call upon one of the security guards who were on scene after the incident took place.”

“Proceed.”

“I would like to call Mr Milan Sharma to the witness box.”

The security guard took the stand and was put under oath. He looked to Arnav, and you could tell there was a lot of discomfort.

“Mr Sharma, when you and your partner heard Miss Kapoor scream, you rushed up to ASR’s office, yes?”

“Yes we did.”

“And what did you see when you got there.”

“Erm… Sir… Sir was on top of ma’am.”

“If you hadn’t heard her scream, and if you were to walk in on something like that, would you believe that very intimate things were going on.”

“Yes.”

“When you walked into the room, did Mr Raizada have his hands on Miss Kapoor?”

Milan looked over to Arnav, he was feeling very tense and he could see Arnav’s face falling, his expressions becoming graver as every moment passed.

“Please answer the question. When you walked into the room, did Mr Raizada have his hands on Miss Kapoor?”

“Yes he did.”

“Where?”

“I… I can’t be sure.”

“What did it seem like to you?”

“I’m not sure.”

“You’re lying. Tell us, where was his hand.”

“He was touching her down there.”

“Thank you that is all we need from you. Your honour no further questioning for the witness. Your honour, what further evidence do we need? The witness found the defendant and the victim in a very compromising situation, with Mr Raizada on top and his hands between her legs? Does that or does that not tell you his intentions.”

Singhania got up at this point.

“Your honour, I have some questions for the witness.”

“Proceed.”

“Mr Sharma, when you pulled Mr Raizada off of Miss Kapoor, would you say he struggled in any way?”

“No.”

“When you pulled him off, was there any sign of arousal from his part?”

“I don’t think so.”

“So you are saying that Mr Raizada had no sign of an erection?”

“No he did not.”

“Thank you, your honour no further questioning. Your honour and members of the jury, I would like to use this information to point out that this is in support of my client. If he had the intention to rape the victim, he wouldn’t have been so willing and the security guards would have needed a lot more force to get him off of her. Mr Raizada is not a small man, if he acted with force, they would have struggled. Furthermore, the defendant showed zero sign of arousal. I believe that this says a lot. I’m sure any male in the room will agree with me that even the slightest of intimacy with a woman can lead to arousal, it’s hard to keep it down. Yet, Mr Raizadda showed zero arousal. This suggests that he didn’t have an interest in Miss Kapoor like that. If he did and if his intentions were to rape her, then surely if he was really on top of her like that and if he had his hand between her legs, he would have shown some sign of arousal. That is all i have to say.”

Arnav took in what was said by both lawyers and he had to agree Singhania did have a point. He thought of all of his interactions with Khushi, how it really didn’t take much at all to get it up. Even after a few little kisses, he’d be ready to go. If it were he and Khushi in the situation, then Arnav knew that by the time anyone had walked in on them he would have had a full erection going.

The battle between the lawyers continued until they both had nothing more to say.

The conclusion of the battle was near, the jury were debating away, whilst everyone else waited for the verdict. It was then Aman got the call.

“Mr Mathur, the video footage that you requested has finally been cleared and we can finally give it to you.”

“Really? Thank you so much! Do you think you would be able to send me a copy within the next 10 minutes?”

“Yes we can.”

“Thank you so much, this will really help us!”

Aman disconnected the call and went to find Aranv’s lawyer.

“The security tape company just called me and they have clearing for the footage. They’re sending it over to me right now!”

“Really?! Let me quickly go and see if we will be able to submit the footage before the final verdict. It’s late but we can hope they will review it.”

“Don’t we need to see it first, just to check that it will work in Arnav’s benefit?”

“We both know and believe that Arnav couldn’t have done what he is being accused of. That tape will show that it was her and not him.”

“Right, right.”

“After reviewing last minute evidence that has come through and after hearing  what all lawyers and witnesses have had to say, we find the defendant… Not guilty of attempted rape.”

Khushi let out a sigh of relief, she always knew her husband was innocent and know the whole world would know.

Arnav couldn’t believe that this was happening, he couldn’t believe that for once the truth had come out when and as it needed to. He thanks his lucky stars that the video footage was released in time. The security company had been adamant that they wouldn’t be able to release the footage, that it was against company policy. Yet Aman and Singhania had done everything in their power to make sure that they could get it. And it had worked, they had gotten the tape and it had done it’s job in making sure that Arnav was proved innocent.

Court was adjourned and everyone begun to file out. Sheetal looked lethal, but she didn’t have much time to send too many death stares because a pair of policewomen were now carting her away.

“This calls for a celebration don’t you think?”

“Yes, I think we need to go for a couple of drinks.”

Arnav had his Khushi on his arm and he had his best friend and lawyer who fought the world to prove his innocence, how could he not take them for a couple of drinks.

The group of 4 got into Aman’s car and made their way to a hotel. Aman and Singhania climbed into the front, talking about how glad they were with the way that things had worked out.

In the back of the car, Arnav held Khushi ever so close to himself. With the stress of the hearing, he had found it hard to get close to his wife. He’d either been too distracted to want to get close, or he had felt guilty for what he was putting her through. They hadn’t had sex since the night that everything had happened. But now, all Arnav wanted to do was get as close to Khushi as he possibly could.

Arnav took hold of Khushi’s hands and held onto her as she hid her face in his chest. After all that stress, it was good to have her husband close to her. Arnav slipped his finger under Khushi’s chin and lifted it up to him and he took her lips between his. They shared a short but passionate kiss. Khushi moved back slowly, aware that they had company, but Arnav didn’t care. He moved back in and kissed her again, deeply, touching the sides of her breasts. This caused Khushi to moan out.

This caught Aman’s attention.

“Ahem.”

Arnav and Khushi broke away, but Arnav kept himself close.

“We’re going to be at the hotel in a few moments, can you guys hold off until then?”

Khushi blushed a deep shade of red and buried her face in Arnav’s chest once more. Arnav smirked as he reposnded.

“I’ll try mate.”
